We've had AW for about 3 years and have been happy until a few months ago. Since then, we've had a problem with missed pickups and rude customer service. In the most recent incident, I had to talk to 4 different services reps and the problem STILL hasn't been resolved. The last service rep was very rude, as she wouldn't let me explain the situation (she kept cutting me off). At first she tried to blame me for the missed pickup, but when that didn't work, she started blaming the other 3 ladies I had talked to for ""not doing their jobs."" She also refused to transfer me to a supervisor. It has now been two weeks since our trash was picked up, and for my trouble I was offered a $3 credit. Seriously? I called yesterday to switch us to different trash service. more

Very sad! After previous hurricanes, the company offered to pick up debris without special payments or fees - if it was placed by the side of the road where their trucks could get to it. Was told today by representative 'Ashley' that people will now have to 'purchase a bin' to have storm damage debris (from Hurricane Isaac) removed! Way to go! How does it feel to kick people when they're down? Guess there'll be yards filled with stuff that will eventually find its way to some landfill, without your help! more

Great Company - but got too expensive 1/10/2012

I had garbage removal service with Allied Waste for over four years and was completely satisfied with their service. The first year I paid $67.00 every three months, then the second year it jumped to $74.00 every three months, then the third year it jumped to $82.00 every three months, and then finally the fourth year it jumped to $88.00 plus a fuel recovery fee of $22.81every three months. I called to cancel and they offered to drop the price. I said never mind I rather just go ahead and cancel now because they would not remove the fuel charges. I now have service with a smaller company and they are providing super service with a larger can to boot. Not to mention they are much cheaper only $66.00 every three months and they promise they never have any hidden charges such as fuel recovery fees. more
