Staff will have you arrested! 3/6/2008

I would not recommend this place, we were there usually the weekends and my friend bumped into one of the staff, he was drunk. He shouldn't have drove but after the bar closed he was arrested on the parking lot for a DUI, then another patron, another night got to another argument with one of the staff and low and behold! She was arrested for a DUI! This is not random, the staff has informed the police on potential DUI arrests! Also every weekend is followed by fights upon fights! If you want to have a good time please stay away during the weekends, unless you want to be arrested by an vindictive staff who will laugh when you are arrested at the parking lot and getting into fights! Pros: none Cons: fights, staff informants and rude staff more

Horrible customer service and very rude staff 12/26/2007

This is my first review. Still the service was so rude and inconsiderate at this place, I wanted to warn others DO NOT GO HERE. I went here with a group of 11 people to go bowling. This was on an uncrowded Thursday night. We've been here before and the service has always been poor. Instead of waiting on the next person in line, the cashier at the counter will help who they choose. We arrived at about 9:00 pm and bowled one game. Prior to 10:00 pm, my brother went to pay for another round of bowling and were told that according to the "rules", additional games were not allowed after 10:00 pm since they shut down the lanes and closed at 11:00 pm, even though another patron in front of him just paid for a new game. I went to talk to the girl at the counter and said that we would be done bowling prior to 11:00 pm. She refused to let us play another game. I insisted and only after asking to talk to a manager did she let use play. I suggested that they post a sign stating that new games cannot start after 10:00 pm so that customers are aware of this policy. She replied that it would not be worth the trouble. After this she allowed at least two other white males to start new games. Apparently the "rules" are not applied consistently and this place is not in the business of making money or prividing customer service. We were finished by 10:45 pm and vowed never to return. If you are looking to spend an evening being aggravated and annoyed, this is the place to go. Cons: Horrible service more

Rude Customer Service and Management 11/21/2007

My friends and I went there for the first time in November 07 and it was really uncomfortable. The door staff was very rude and un-presentable and we received our drinks 45 minutes after we had ordered them. The bartenders were favorable to other people (must have been regular patrons) which also gave me a horrible impression. The Crowed was Hip Hop Urban mostly, the DJ was playing rap most of the night and she was repeating the songs. I asked to speak with the manager on duty and the manager aggressively tried to have me and my friends go to the Northland Inn hotel and said he would give us free bottles at the hotel making up for the lousy customer treatment. RUDE AND SICK!. This is very un professional and VERY rude. I will NEVER be there again. Pros: Location Cons: Rude Customer Service, Poor Management more

Really great time!!! 4/8/2007

We had a really great time here.. much less crowded than downtown bars. We loved the fun and friendly staff! Great Drinks! Pros: Good drinks Cons: Expensive more

Strange Crowd, Rude Staff 10/24/2006

Ive given this place a few attemps, since its location is ideal to my friend's house. Every time Ive been disappointed. The staff is my biggest pet peeve, consistently rude. From the bouncers at the door, the DJ, and the bartenders. The bouncers are nice to you if you are in a group of women, bring any men in with you and they are jerks to you and the men you're with. The prices of drinks were outrageous, the cover is not worth spending, and seriously the crowd is more often then not mid 40s trying to relive their better years being out of control drunk. Its one thing to be drunk and having a good time. Its entirely another when you cant walk or stand on your own. I wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone, unless you want to kick back and laugh at ridiculous people all night while being treated as though you are below everyone who is on the staff. Pros: People watching can be interesting Cons: Awful service from the staff more

Friday/Saturday Night Dance Party 8/30/2005

Overall I highly recommend that you, and your friends party here. Their drink specials are off the charts 2 for 1's 3pm-6pm, and 9pm-11pm. Friday/Saturday night dance party's- brand new DJ on Friday nights with non-urban feel. Perfect mixing of all the hits for a high energy dance party. Looking for a perfect night out dancing and/or hooking up, just come early for the lower cover charge. Oh, bye the way Ladie's night every Thursday 1.00 drinks all night for the ladies, and the 2 for 1's special for everybody else. Pros: Early Cover Charge, DJ (Music Friday), Beatiful Women Cons: No Dress Code, Late Cover Charge, Non-Smoking more

Step back in time 10/16/2003

Alligators is attached to a bowling alley. The club is usually packed for dancing with a crowd of 21-40ish looking to hook up. Music ranges from hip-hop to older dance music. The DJ does a clean job of mixing music. The danec floor is small and can get overly crowded. I've seen a few fights in/outside of this bar. Lot of attitude floats around. There are some wanna-be bad boys. I've seen a large mix in this bar, from your NASCAR junkies to your Eminem wanna-be's. The girls can be cute to plain 1980 style ugly. If you wanna be entertained for a night, this place is a good place to go, with a group. Taking a girlfriend is probably not gonna win her over. Free parking in large lot, outside volleyball courts with patio, good service, decent music, and lots of fake gold on a roll. Check it out! Pros: good service, free parking, entertaining Cons: attitudes , small dance floor, step back in time more

Alleygators is a great place 7/14/2003

I met my girlfriend there. The people are fun and down to earth. So is the staff. Drink prices are priced lower than those stuffy bars downtown. In the short time that I have been in Mn., Alleygators is my club of choice. Pros: Nice people, drink prices, great time Cons: none more

mmm bowling fresh... 5/4/2003

The building itself, sound, and lights are decent. The crowd, however, ruins it. A great place to go if you are part of the suburban NASCAR crowd, or if you are looking for married women on the prowl (no kidding, look at the ring fingers!). The music mix hasn't been updated since 1995, and it caters way too much toward rap and hip-hop (this is MAPLE GROVE for heaven's sake!) It's good as a restaurant or happy hour stop, but I never stay past 10pm. Pros: Only NW club around, Food, Married women Cons: Brooklyn Park crowd, un-bowling-cool, Married women more

High Energy Party 9/13/2002

This place rocks. The sights are great and the price is right. If you're looking for a fun, high energy evening Alleygators is the place to go. Pros: resonable prices, good looking women, great music & sound more

  • In Short
Working-class suburbanites look to get the party started here. It's a three-in-one super-club: ideal for throwing darts while snarfing pub grub (in Gator's Garden restaurant), knocking down pins (in Spectrum Lanes, the club's 24-lane bowling alley) or busting a move (on the club's dance floor). On weekends, when sure-footed groovemeisters turn out to spin under a laser-light show, the dance floor gets especially steamy.
