Dear Alley Cat, please stop putting so much energy into placing cans , lids upright and maybe you can actually service more of your customers. more

We switched to this company after a friend told us about them being so much cheaper. WELL cheaper they are and the saying goes you get what you pay for... Out of the entire month they have picked my trash up 1 time, and that was only after contacting them about not picking it up. Both the people that I spoke with blamed it on me telling me that I did not have my trash out and that their driver had it logged in as not out...UMMM hello where is the customer service at here I wasn't nasty with them I just wanted to know with being a new customer or not if there was a misunderstanding as to the days and possibility that the driver had forgotten. To make the matters worse it happens again the following week and I get the same reply, Which totally boggles my mind due to the fact that I work out of my home and never once saw their truck come down my dead end street. Their service is a joke and not worth the headache over an extra $30 go with a better company that actually does what they say they are going to do. more

We switched to Alley Cat for our trash service about 7 months ago. We switched because their cost was so much lower. But, they have raised their cost and added a fuel surcharge in that time. The cost (unless you are over 60 years old and qualify for the senior rate) is the same as Harford Sanitation now. What has bothered me the most is that since we switched to Alley Cat, we've gotten a letter each quarter chastising us. In one form letter, we were informed that if we called to complain about our service then our trash service would be cancelled. One of the letters smelled badly of cigarette smoke, which I thought was unprofessional. The actual trash service has been uneven. They grew too fast so some days our trash and recycling hasn't been picked up until the end of the following day. The letters are what have bothered my neighbors and I the most. They don't say ""Thank you for being our customers"" or ""We're glad to have your business"". Instead, they chastise and stipulate exactly how we need to put our trash out and make a lot of demands. I would definitely recommend choosing another trash service. more
