On Wednesday, June 15th, Mr. Marc Moore from Allen Service visited my home to correct a plumbing problem. He was polite, pleasant, and helpful. He performed all work requested promptly and efficiently. I appreciated his dedication to his job. more

Brian R came to check on a possible leak from the house to the yard sprinklers. He was prompt, professional and made sure all the plumbing questions were answered and performed another inspection of all the house plumbing areas. Adjusted my water pressure PSI, made a couple of other recommendations that I will address at a later date. Even though he was not able to fix my initial problem (needs a sprinkler professional to fix this) he was able to address a couple of other issues and fix them. I had previously purchased their service plan, so this visit was not charged and was able to tell me the problem. Very satisfied. more

Chance did a general house review for plumbing/heating/air conditioning. He did a thorough job, giving me feedback on all findings. Jim arrived on time, was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Checked out the all appliances (furnace, air conditioner and water heater), changed the filter, vacuumed out the furnace and measured the CO. Very satisfied. more

First I have to say that the tech Allen Plumbing sent out was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I cannot complain about the work that was done. I had tried to install a new faucet in my bathroom and could not get the hot water line to sync up and it just leaked a small amount. I tried for three days but got nowhere. Then I tried to uninstall the faucet but got stuck on the last nut and gave up. I needed this fixed as the water to the entire house was off and temperatures were below freezing. I was thankful to get a plumber on the same day. It is their way of billing that makes me very unhappy. I was (unfortunately for me) up front with the plumber; that I was a first time homeowner and had never called a plumber before and that I felt desperate at this point. First mistake, don’t be honest. Because now he knows I am in between a rock and hard place and instead of being helpful, he took advantage of the situation. I admit I signed off on the work before he did it, but again, I felt stuck. To cut my two plastic lines going to the faucet, adding two flexible pipes and two shut off valves and installing a new faucet (not the one I had purchased) and with this taking about two hours which the tech only actually worked about 1.5 hours, cost me $1,100……….Eleven Hundred Dollars……. I have a plumber friend in another state and called him the next day. He said on the outside it would have cost about $500. So he felt like the guy knew I was in a predicament and doubled the cost. When it was all said and done that night, I looked at my bill. To my surprise it was not itemized. I really wanted to understand how my bill had gotten over a grand. When I called to get an itemized statement I was told that they do not bill that way. They do this flat rate quote thing. I said, well when the tech made my quote, he had to be pulling the numbers from somewhere – would I be able to see that. Well no, I couldn’t. My advice would be NOT TO USE ALLEN PLUMBING at all or if you have no choice. more

Manny was the epitome of professional. He worked efficiently and double checked his work--which led to replacing the brand-new disposal he had just installed! He also exhibited a great sense of humor. I'd welcome him in my home any time. more

Patrick did a very competent job of shutting down my swamp cooler and advising on steps needed to unclog my kitchen sink. He was also very attentive to any other service needs I might have had. more

This review is in behalf of Alec Nelson. Alec spent a whole day, 7:30 to 6:00, on Friday 9 Oct. replacing a sprinkler system on/off valve. This required extensive hand digging. He accomplished this alone, in good humor , and worked tirelessly with dedication and expertise. Many Thanks. more

My wife found that we had no hot water and a pool of water around our heater at 6:45am. I called Allen Service at 7:15am. The dispatcher was extremely accommodating and pleasant. She had Paul at our house an hour later. After presenting us with many different options for replacement, with no pressure, we chose the most economical option for us. From the time of the first call for help, to the time we had a brand new hot water heater, delivered personally by the owner, and installed by Paul, it was three hours. Very friendly and fast service. Paul was a superstar! We will definitely be calling Allen Service in the future! more

Chris came, got right to work, and was able to comb out my air conditioner fins (they'd gotten badly bent in last summer's hail storm) quickly. The unit looks 1,000 times better. Thanks Chris! more
