I have relied on this company to store and transport artwork for over thirty years because of the ideal climate within the walls of this brick building. The prices are great and the people who run it extremely nice. David and Al go out of their way to be helpful and professional. more

I've had four GREAT experiences with the REAL All Star Moving! Over the past five years, the same team has moved four family members and each time the move has been timely, careful, and courteous! Make sure Al answers the phone and David, the owner, moves you! more

Most horrible moving experience ever. We used them to move from San Fran to Palo Alto. They shattered our glass coffee table and then did not return SEVEN phone calls to their office and 3 letters submitting damage claims (as per the rules of our contract). Finally sent us a letter saying they were not responsible. Not only was their customer service horrendous, but it was a huge and frustrating timesuck trying to get reimbursed (we obviously never did) and get a new table.\r \r Do NOT use them!!!! more

After being 2 hrs late, I had to call the company myself to find out what where the movers are and the management just gave me a number to contact the driver myself. If it weren't for the fact that I had to move out of my place on that day and all the other moving companies were booked, I would never hjave use this company. They didn't show up until after 7 PM, 6 hours after the sceduled time. To make matters worst, even with all the extra overpriced moving material they chraged me extra for (they refused to move a lot of my furniture unless i paid for the extra packaging material), they still broke my stuff. Moving is already a very stressful experience. Don't make it worst for yourself by using this horrible company. Cons: Late, Rude, Rip off more

Reading the other reviewer's commentary I am compelled to respond. I have used 2 ""All Star Moving"" companies for my 2 moves. The first one was based in San Jose: they were indeed late, charged for all imaginable extras that were not mentioned when booking. Contrary to this experience, the second move was so much better because I called the one and only ORIGINAL ""All Star Moving and Storage"" of the Bay Area. The San Jose guys are using the Oakland's team reputation to deliver their below average service. I still have my stuff in storage in Oakland and the rental fee is very reasonable by the way. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVING NEEDS!!! I had a total disaster on my hands when All Star Moving tried to move my 2 bedroom apartment. They showed up hours late, were discourteous, charged me extra for everything they could think of, and did not know what to do when their truck broke down (with all of my belongings in it!). Their management does not care about their customers at all! Do yourself a favor and hire someone else!!! Cons: Unreliable, Discourteous, Expensive more
