All Service Propane

I received a letter from All Service Propane, signed by the owner of the company, Bob Dietrick. It begins: Dear Future Customer and proceeds to introduce the company and tell me why I should choose them over others. At the end it offers me a 1st fill rate and a future fixed rate. Sounded pretty good so I called. The sales lady told me that since I didn't use the propane to heat my house (except with my fireplace) that I was not eligible for the rate quoted. She said that since I ONLY use it to heat our pool, run our grill and fireplace, I could NOT have that rate sent to me in the letter. There are no stipulations listed in the letter.....she pushed the price up $.40/gallon and offered me that!! Guess I won't ever be a customer nor can I recommend them to anyone. That practice is called ""bait and switch"" and ""false advertising""...both illegal. Maybe someone, say a lawyer, will read this and take the matter up?? Just sayin'..... more

I googled ASP to get their phone number, but just had to write this review when I found the others. I just have to shake my head - One person who wrote a review let themselves run out of gas, and then blamed the company! There are just some people who refuse to take personal responsibility...but I suppose that's another story. Anyway, this company is not schemers or whatever that other person said. I've known this company for almost 10 years. Reliable, honest, and fair. Pros: Good people Cons: cant think of any more

You won't find a better propane provider. The folks at the office are extremely friendly and responsive. The owner, Bob Dietrick, sometimes comes out to fill my tank himself! Always friendly, always consistent. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else. Pros: Amazing customer service more

We rented a tank for our fireplace from ASP, and they installed it during the day when my husband and i were at work. When we got home, we saw the largest eyesore ever. This tank is NASA spaceshuttle huge. It's terrible... but that isn't the worst part. We had no clue, but they come around on occasion to ""top off your gas"". When they did this, they put a notice on our side door, which is in the back of our house... a side that we rarely see during the winter. We never saw the bill. Instead, they pull up ready to take the tank away one day. We stated we hadn't received a bill. They showed me where the put it... which was not an obvious place at all. We stuck out our year with them, but are now leaving and getting our own tank. They are schemers. I felt like I had been around the world and back on my space shuttle gast tank by the time we settled all the late fees, etc. BIG BOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Pros: nada Cons: $$$ where's the bill?? $$$ more

Last night was one of the coldest nights of the year. My husband and I have have been customers of All Service Propane for a little over 3 years. We ran out of propane and called them around 4pm. We didn't hear back so we called again and then the service man called us back. He said he could come out in an hour. It was dark by the time he got to our house, but we were happy to have him come out. The next day, I recieved a call from All Service that we needed to pay or they would come remove the regulators. That was not a problem with us, so I called immediately and gave my credit card number. The big surprise came with we were charged a $150 fee for having the tech come out on a Sunday! We were not told about the fee ahead of time. Had we known, we would have toughed it out for the night. Apparently it was written on the reciept but we didn't notice, since it was dark out. My husband called and spoke with the owner who said he couldn't do anything about it. Needless to say, we were very dissapointed. I'll be looking for a different company to do business with. Cons: They don't disclose fee's and apparently, don't lower their prices when the cost of fuel goes down. more
