People that work there are mainly high school kids. Even the couple that mean well, have literally no clue what the upkeep of a store and animals entails. Animals that are sold there, not just dogs, but also guinea pigs and probably everything else too, are sick and mainly unhappy. I bought a cavy that was pregnant, brought the 3 baby boys back after 6 weeks (didn't want inbreds, nor a zoo). I left them there with clean bill of health, meanwhile I bought another cavy at APC. After spending hundreds at the pet emergency she still died of pneumonia. Having had her for merely two weeks, i do not feel responsible for her death. Anxiously, I returned to see how boys were doing. Patrick, the strongest one is on the verge of dying. I could see he had respitory problems, since his ribcage was going up and down. Other cavies showed signs of same disease. It took an unknowing manager to separate the sick fellar, what is the caregiver? A sixteen year old idiot? More likely a person who doesn't know jack, that gets managed by a person who really doesn't give a jack.... Literally half of the herd is sick and only 1 showed signs of a vet tring to save it..the bald patch being the place where they put the iv in. The criticare dissolved in a bowl is for god knows who else... After 5 months of going to APC, I can tell that they don't give a jack about the animals nor their customers. They are in it for the money. They prey on uneducated, but well intentioned customers. Even the most basic stuff, like woodchips for the cage is way overpriced! Buy a real cage for less on eBay. Their cages are literally oversized and overpriced litter boxes... Buy a guinea pig at the animal shelter in Durham, they are loved, well kept and popcorning for a new owner! more

In November We purchased a Neopolitian Mastiff puppy from All Pets Club in Branford that came form Hollow Tree Kennels puppy mill We took him to our vet for a new puppy exam 3 days later and we could not bring him into the main section of the clinic for precautionary reasons because he had a cough. He was put on antibiotics and the next day we received a call from our vet saying he also tested positive for 2 intestinal parasites giardia & coccidia which we also treated him for. 4 weeks later we rushed him back to the vet because he was close to death with pneumonia. we received a call from Corrine from all pets club because she said they were aware that the dog had issues when we purchased it and to send them the vet records and they would help with the bill which turned out to be over $900.00 in medications and hospital expenses. I thought ""how nice of them to do that"" and was impressed. WRONG!,,,l received a call from Corrine stating that they reviewed the records and tried to pick them apart and offered to give us. A 125.00 store credit !!! They have no concern for their customers or the health of the puppies that they are pushing. We love our puppie and will do what ever it takes to fix him. Beware more

I go to All Pets Club every week for dog food and have been a club member for two years now. It's great to have a big shop in the area. It's about 20 minutes drive but easy to get there so I don't mind and would much rather go there than some of the other large chains. They carry an excellent selection of dog food and toys and my dogs love BG so they love the shop too. My problem with the shop is the salt water side. In the last couple of months it seems that the selection has looked worse and worse while prices have gone higher. Prices are almost to the point of the high end shops down in Greenwhich, while quality and selection has gone down. I am a reef keeper and spend a lot of money on both livestock and things to keep the reef going. APC also has a good selection of salt and supplements now. I really like the Red Sea stuff and have been using it for a while. But there are other shops in the area that charge almost half of APC price. Even with the discount card. So it doesn't pay to buy salt or supplements there unless there is an emergency. a $25 difference on a bucket of salt and close to $10 difference on the chemicals adds up fast. I know most pet shops use things like salt and chems to get a person there and then make money on livestock. It just seems like APC has gotten greedy. More money for less quality and less selection. In the last two months I haven't been able to find one thing I wanted for my tank! While I go to another shop to buy salt and walk out with close to $200 in corals and fish. Also some of the other shops match online prices for things like snails and chemicals. I can see new people buying stuff here, but an experienced reef keeper who wants new and challenging higher end fish and corals will have a tough time finding anything mixed in with the damsels and over priced beginer level browned out corals. Sad too, because experienced reefers are the ones who are willing to spend the big bucks. I wish they would take their salt water and reef departments seriously and get somebody in there to order up some decent fish and corals so I can go back to spending some money there other than on dog food! Also get your prices in line on the chems and salt and stop trying to kill the people on it. Who needs 500 ceramic nemo statues? Get some real reefing equipment to put on that shelf, price it competitively then watch the dollars come rolling in. No reason you can't be the next Foster and Smith if you don't get your act together! You have the shop and the staff to do it with. more

This place is great! I love the puppies. The rooms are sorted by pup's size, they are all playing and having a great time! I could just watch them for hours. I got my pup there (actually in Wallingford). They guarantee the pups and require the microchip before you take them. The only thing is they don't tell you the microchip is already in the dog but you have to pay extra for it anyway. They are a little expensive, but worth it for the well taken care of dogs they sell. more

This store is the best pet store I have ever been in. I an a freqent customer and I am impressed with the care and health of all there animals. Keep up the good work I have 4 of your pups all great!!! more

I went to the all pets club store in branford and had an amazing experience.I drove an hour and a half from thompson to see this pet store because there is nothing like that over here. I sincerely think you should consider opening a store closer to thompson. I think in the killingly plaza would be a good place because there is a lot of business there. I Bought a stone fish and some other things and everyone there was very nice and educated on what they were doing. I hope that you can help me out in some way. Thanks, Zach Kusek more

I was surprised by all the negative reviews for this pet shop. I compared prices for dog food (Orijen Adult) and they have by far the best prices out there. Using my All Pets Club card, I receive an even bigger discount. I have always found their staff (in Branford, CT) to be courteous and helpful. When you add their prices and service to the huge variety of pet items available, this is my first choice pet shop. more

We had a pleasant experience buying fish at the Branford All Pets Club. Nicolette assisted us and she was both friendly and knowledgeable. She is an asset to that store. more

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A PAPILLON FROM ALL PETS CLUB IN WALLINGSFORD.....UNFORTUNATELY MY PUPPY HAD GOTTEN SICK(NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PET STORE) AND THE STAFF AT ALL PETS CLUB WAS THERE FOR ME! I worked there for almost three years. All pets club takes amazing care of the animals they sell. I think Its messed up that all you people bash the store. Dogs are like people not everyone is perfect they get sick just as easily as babies. The puppies constantly get taking out to be played with and are around so many other dogs that they are bound to get colds every now and than. All pets club takes the best care of the dogs it sell out of any pet store. If you go to the mall and see the pet store. they are usually coved in poop and in single little cages. At all pets they all play and run around and are cleaned daily. more
