All American Smog Test Only I

I read a lot of reviews on this site about All American Smog Test. It is unfortunate that I only read them after visiting this service center. I feel much of the same pain that many of the people have reported here. This individual - Robert Padilla would have to be one of the worst shop owners I have ever come across. As many of the people here have noticed, he has a very bad attitude problem. He is a rude, obnoxious, unethical and dishonest human being. There is no point in reiterating my experience at his shop since it was the same as what most of the people have indicated here. His quotes are always false. He will find ways to overcharge for his services by adding hidden costs. On top of that, he is a very rude individual who lacks common sense when dealing with people. A shop owner, in my opinion, must have integrity and some basic sense of customer service skills which I found to be lacking with Robert. As one of the reviewer wrote here previously -""I don't know if it's only women he treats like crap, but this guy was a complete a**hole!"" - in this area I must say that he does not discriminate. I usually do not post my experiences online but this guy really rubbed me the wrong way. I have already reported him to Better Business Bureau (BBB) and would encourage everyone who has had a bad experience with him to do the same. I sincerely hope that you find this post in time before its too late. more

Very friendly. Great service. Really what more is there to say. It was everything I wanted and needed in a Test Only station. He got me out of there with a quickness, which was a good thing because I was hungry after having worked 1/2 day on Saturday (my day off).\r \r I passed smog on first test and treated myself to a PB and banana shake afterwards. more

The employees were very nice and helpful during my visit here with all American smog, they had everything pretty clean and were quick on my service! more

Took my car here for a smog last weekend. They were quick, efficient, explained the coupon (I have a small SUV so it cost a little more, plus the DVM stuff) and got us in and out of there in just a short while. The kids (3 & 5) had a good time watching the little TV they had available, and the man running the place offered us bottled water. He gave me total cost and explained any questions I had before I signed any paperwork. The guy there (maybe the owner) may not be your warm and fuzzy give me a hug type of guy, but he made my kids laugh and put a smile on my face as we chatted after the service for a couple minutes. I didn't feel rushed at all. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family. more

I brought a coupon, make sure your car qualifies for it read the fine print, luckily mine did and it's $13 extra for the electronic dmv cert so keep that in mind. I come here every two years and I've never waited more than 20 mins and today was no exception. I came in right before someone with an appointment and the guy helped me right away. Quick and painless.\r more

I thought the place was good. It was very direct. The dude there had nice hospitality and even gave me a ten dollar discount. I didn't have any problems and was done in ten minutes more

The guy who owns this place is super nice. Always offers you a drink when you come in. There's always a discount coupon if you search online. Great service, quick smog check! more

I've been there twice or three times and have never had an issue. I don't understand why the owner gets so much flack. In fact, in his defense, I will say that as soon as I arrived there, another husband/wife couple (whom, as I overheard, are business owners) came in a few minutes later, right after he started working my car. Immediately, the husband picked a fight with the owner before the transaction even started and said ""your prices are the worst, why do you keep raising them every single damn time?"" The wife was no help either, but kept her obnoxious husband from exploding...she basically told him to sit down and shut his mouth, in so many words. Which he did. The guy charges a reasonable rate...it's not cheap, no, but it's just what you have to pay for smog checks these days and not everything in this world is cheap. He's a nice guy. I'll definitely go back again next time. No, I am not being paid to write this review. As you can see from my other reviews on Yelp, when a business has poor service and/or an owner/manager with serious attitude problems, I'll write a tell-all review about it. I've never had a bad experience with All American Smog and doubt I ever will. Also nice of him to offer free beverages...it'd sure be nice if Firestone and Pepboys and some others did that, especially given that you fork over a fraction of your life's savings to them when your car is messed up. more

I've taken both our cars here for the past few years and have never had a problem. The owner has always been cool to me or my GF. He usually offers you bottled water and there's a little TV you can watch while you wait. \r \r For those of you thinking about getting off the grid, you can also catch up on the latest issue of Log Home Living Magazine. Really. That reminds me, I've got to get started on that manifesto.\r \r If you get a renewal notice that says you have to go to a STAR station this place can do the test. Not all places can.\r \r I was in and out in about 20 min. this morning. Painless for the most part. Ran me $58.00 out the door. I had a coupon. Parking is easy. There may be cheaper places by a buck or two but this place is close to the bat cave and it's easy in and out. more

Hi, I want to let everybody know that All American Smog is writing their own comments, see the reviews below such as they are writing phony comments pretending to be customers and there not, they are only pushing down their negative comments down so they hired a service to write 5 star comments and they did the Google, InsiderPages, Yellowpages and etc, all writing false statement Beware. Why? If you look on the comments on the pages you'll see the complaints further down and than this is only 5 star reviews, you see they have complaints and the sad thing is, they are trying to hide these reviews. So their solution is write comments of stories that never happened, so we are being fooled here. It is a horrible way to do business so I am alerting people and if they try to remove me I will post again to alert the truth here.. more

I want to say that I appreciate that they got my car in right away with out having me to wait. They were professional all thorough the whole inspection. This is the second time I bring in a car here and I recommend this place because it is very clean as well. more
