All About You Salon & Spa

I have been in hair hell for the past three years...trying with all my might to find a great stylist. My cousin referred me to Christy at All About You and I have been SOOOOO happy. She is just GOOD!! She is the best I have ever seen at color and she cuts a mean head of hair. I feel better about the way my hair looks and feels...and that makes ME a happy lady! more

I had been looking for a new salon for some time and finally decided to try All About You, and I am sooo glad I did! I have been going to Whitney for a year now and my cut and color are perfect everytime. I was recently in an out of town wedding and the stylest that did my ""up do"" even complimented me on my color and said that whoever had done it did a wonderfull job! I also go to Jennifer for lip/eye wax and she too does a great job. I would and have recommended this salon to several people. more

I recently made an appointment for the spa pedicure. My appointment time was for 3:00 p.m. I was finally called back at 3:15 where the technician seemed very side tracked. She spent hardly any time buffing/exfoliating my feet, when she applied the paraffin wax it was so hot a blister formed on the top of my foot and all she said was ""Oh, I guess I'd better turn down the wax"". I requested a french pedi, which she asssured me was no problem. I think my 20 month old daughter could have down a better job painting the tips. At 4:00 p.m. she told me to let my nails dry and I was done. The spa pedicure costs $40 and is supposed to last an hour. I will definitely NOT return to this salon. The whole situation was horrible and a huge waste of money. Cons: poorly done job, tense atmosphere, waste of money more

I really lucked out!!!! -- I had a so-so stylist with exorbitant pricing doing my hair. When I got tired of the girl increasing the price every time I saw her, I decided to shop around and totally lucked out. I called this salon and booked an appointment with Whitney, and so glad I did it. She ALWAYS does what I ask her to do, my hair always looks great, and she is kind to me and my daughters, we all just absolutely love her! She's a hard worker, professional, aims to please, is fair, and definitely knows what's in style, I would highly recommend her to anyone out there. I'm so glad I found such a wonderful place to do my hair as well as my daughters, and we enjoy seeing her everytime we go!!!! Two thumbs up! Pros: my hairstylist is definitely a pro more

My first introduction to All About You came as a Gift Certificate for a Spa Day from my husband. I called and set the appointments and eagerly awaited ""my"" day. When I arrived I was shown into the massage room and received a wonderful session. Then was my time for my facial. I was transferred to the next room and made very comfortable. When the technician came in I received the best facial I had ever had. Through conversation I discover that the young lady that was assigned my appointment called in sick at the last minute. The owner of the salon (Sharon) came in early and did my session herself so that I wouldn't have any stress. I have never had that wonderfully seamless and professional spa experience before and it repeats itself each time I book my spa days. I have since made it my salon as well. Whitney is a beautiful, bright and talented stylist and I would no longer think about switching to someone else to care for my hair. The environment of the shop is calm and inviting. They have never made me wait and always accommodate short notice calls. Great care is taken to ensure a great experience and I have never been let down. I Have been coming to All About You since Whitney has started and i find that the salon is very clean and greets their clients with the most respect. They take clients late at night and work around my work times. Whitney is a young girl but knows the newest styles and is very friendly and wonderful to be around. The salon its self is a full service salon with is nice so i can get waxing and my hair done at the same time. I have been looking for good salon and stylist for a while and finally found the right place. Pros: They work around you! Cons: cant find one yet. more

I have tried a handful of times to get a call back from a stylist for several days and STILL received NO call back! I was really dispointed because I obviously really wanted to go to their salon but could not get the time of day from these people. Even after I expressed that i still haden't received a call back, I asked for a price, and I couldnt get any specific dollar amounts on any service from any of their stylists. It was rediculous. i only wanted to ask questions and find out a price before I wasted my time and patience by having to go in. Pros: Did satisfactory services. Cons: POOR customer service and value of clients. more

I've been going to All About You Salon & Spa since it opened. That's probably close to 10 years. I go because the atmosphere is professional and comfortable. I'm always greeted and announced as soon as I arrive. My appointment starts as booked. Staff always has a smile for customers even when the shop is very busy. And, most importantly, every concern I've had about my hair care has always been addressed. That's extremely important to me as I have thinning, fragile hair that requires perming and hair color. Since I visit about once a month there's lots of opportunities for problems but I've never had one - - no appointment mix ups, no misunderstandings about what I wanted and no problems with the results. In fact, I can remember times through the years when I asked for changes in style or color and when it didn't look as good as I thought it would it was promptly fixed (sometimes you really need to listen to the advise you're given by the expert!). I've used the Spa services quite a bit too and always found the atmosphere to be comfortable and relaxing unlike the pretentious atmosphere of other spas in the Sac area. The facials and massages are wonderful! Over the years I've given gift certificates to friends - - I wouldn't do that if I was worried they wouldn't get excellent service. I highly recommend All About You to anyone looking for a customer-oriented salon and spa offering quality services by a professional staff. I called to make an appointment and specifically told the receptionist I needed a bad hair cut to be corrected, and I only wanted an appointment if I could get an experienced stylist. I was adament that I did not want a fresh-out-of-school person. When I arrived they put me with a young girl, who's own hair was that stringy, straight look the teens wear. The girl looked to be no more than 19. I almost left then, but I decided to give her a chance. I told her I had requested an experienced stylist, and she assured me she was capable. I showed her two pictures of a general look I liked- (I'm fully aware that my hair won't look exactly like the pictures- it's more of a general style- sporty not glam for example). She cut my hair, then started to dry it completely straight- the one thing I told her I hated. When I asked for her to restyle it- she ripped the smock off me and angrily stomped on the chair to make it descend. I started to cry, I looked so bad- I could tell the hair cut was nothing like I had requested, and the style was horrible. The owner came over and asked what the problem was. I explained to her the whole story- the cut was nothing I had requested, the style was ugly- and exactly what I said I didn't want. She offered to try to fix the problem if I could wait 10 minutes. I did, but oh boy am I sorry!\r \r She looked over the cut and declared it was fine- I told her it was the wrong shape for me- I have thick naturally wavy hair and this would not do anything for me. She trimmed about 7 hairs and decided it was good. Then she asked about the styling- I told her I like a more natural look- so she put bobby pins all over my head with tight little pinwheel curls???!!! What the heck was this? I had my young daughter with me so I decided it was best not to get into with her- but it looked so bad I cried all the way home.\r \r Oh and as I was leaving- I discovered the young girl with no people or hair skills was the owners daughter!
