I have lived in my home for almost 30 years in south Orange County. My wife and I were never happy with the heating and air conditioning that we had installed by a company in the early 1980's. It would run all day long on hot days, was very expensive to run, and never seemed to cool our house down very well! We decided it was time to replace this system and decided to get a few quotes. Aliso Air was our fourth and final quote on a new system for our home. Their salesman was the best of the bunch! He set up a sales quote around our schedule, and arrived promptly at the time we set up with him, the only one of the four companies to arrive on time! That said allot right off the bat! He walked through our home with us and asked a ton of questions about the problems we were having with the system. He took measurements and wrote notes on a detailed sheet. As a new homeowner on a tight budget, I called Aliso Air for a new system because my old one was damaged by the old owner. They worked with me to install a high quality system and at the same time negotiated a price with me to make it affordable. The technicians were friendly and the customer service staff were accommodating. Love my new system!! On a side note: Having worked for an air conditioning company in Los Angeles, I can tell you that the summers are CRAZY with everyone needed their air fixed right then. My recommendation is to make sure you get your proper maintenance checks before the summer and turn on your system to make sure it is working properly. Just some thoughts. I had Aliso Air recently install a new central heating and air conditioning system in my home that was built without air conditioning. I have lived in my home for 22 years without air conditioning and decided it was time to add it! I received three bids and they were the middle bid in terms of price. My neighbors raved about Aliso Air, and they were right on in their recommendations! The salesman was the most detailed of all three companies and the installation crew was top notch! I had my existing furnace location changed from a hallway closet to the attic and Aliso Air was the only company to recommend this! I now have a new hallway linen closet where the old furnace was, and a whole new system in the attic! Finally I am feeling cool on those days I would spend at the mall when it was to hot! My heater wouldn't work and I had Mike Diamond come out to look at it. They quoted me over $1,800.00 to fix it. Fortunatly they did not have the parts on hand so I called Aliso Air. They came out and were able to fix my heater for $119.00. Its nice to know there are still honest business' out there. I will recommened Aliso Air to all my friends! more

Had another company come out and tell me my heater had to be replaced for almost $5000.00 and it was NOT repairable. Decided to get a second opinion and quite a few neighbors recommended Aliso Air. They came out and replaced a part for less than $200.00 and my heater is working just fine! The staff was friendly and got to my house the same day I called for service, I would recommend this company to any and everyone! Pros: Honest & Trustworthy more

We too had Aliso Air design and installed the HVAC system in our home. The engineering and quality of their work is a joke. We have rooms that have hurricane force winds leaving the vents in some rooms and other rooms in which there is literally NO airflow. It is impossible to heat or cool this house properly. Aliso Air has done both of my homes for me. Nothing but A+ service and quality. I would recommend Aliso Air to anyone that needs heating and air conditioning. Top notch company! My first home Aliso Air did was 12 years ago and It is running great. The second home Aliso Air worked on for me was about 7 years ago and again no problems and nothing but great work and customer service! We are the original owners of a 10 year old Standard Pacific Home that has air conditioning put in by Aliso Air. The coils were installed with shoddy workmanship causing leaks in the attic and damaging the ceiling. To just repair the coils it will cost us $3000 to repair. Aliso Air only warranties its labor for a year and equipment for 5 years. Since the equipment is in the attic, there was no easy way for anyone to detect the leaks all these years unless we go into the attic on a regular basis. This should be a warning to the homeowner. We called for help and Aliso was no help from a cost or service standpoint, choosing to stand by the letter of its policies. They went so far as to suggest that someone might have gone in and damaged the coils (highly unlikely). Aliso Air did poor work when this was installed about 10 years ago and was unwilling to even discount its services for fixing their screw up. Lesson learned is for homeowners to go up in your attic to verify the quality of their work. Cons: Difficult to monitor quality of work more

I have spent well over $3,000 with this company. Their first technician said the 'fix' would be to just refill the freon. When this solution didn't work, Aliso Air sent out another technician who diagnosed the 'fix' to be the replacement of a coil. The service manager said he would give me a credit from the first repair disaster to be applied towards the coil replacement. He never did and unfortunately, the 'fix' /coil replacement did not work. To no surprise, Aliso Air came back and said (after 2 failed attempts at a 'fix' and me out several thousand dollars), that the final 'fix' would be the installation of a new compressor. I chose to go to someone else who not only did a stellar job, but did it much cheaper than Aliso Air. If you want your air conditioning problems to be fixed - DO NOT use Aliso Air. Cons: Technicians do not do a thorough job of diagnosing problem more

Needed a new unit for the house. Called, they came right out, great timing, service. Very professional and knowledgeable of products, had a couple minor issues, they came right out and fixed. more

I do not know what happened with the other reviewers before me, but I have nothing but great things to say about Aliso Air! I have been using and recommending them to everyone I know for over 15 years. They have always been promt, curtious, and very knowlegeable. I have never, nor anyone I have ever referred to them, had a problem. They have always maintained my equipment, all at a great price, and never tried to sell me any equipment or services I did not need. The only reason they are so busy during the summer and have a long wait for service, is because they are that good and honestly priced. The salesman told us that any company in the middle of the hot summer that can be there that day, has a problem with keeping a customer base and will likely gouge you for the quick repairs! Recently I decided it was time to change the 20+ year old system and called a few companies to look at the job and give competitive estimates. Aliso Air was the lowest priced by far, and even threw in a few extras that the other companies were charging me for. The salesman that came to my home was very knowlegeable and detailed. He arrived at the exact minute we scheduled the estimate for, and was the only one from 4 competing companies to do that. He was also the only one to bring a ladder in and actually get into the attic and check all the ductwork. He set us up with a very quiet and effcient system, and even offered us an Edison rebate that Aliso Air qualifies for, that none of the other companies even mentioned. The installers were clean, professional, and very curtious. They arrived on time, worked hard the entire time, and cleaned everything up when they were done. They walked my wife and I through the entire system and operation, and did not leave until we were fully educated on the enire operation. Overall, we were so pleased that I will continue to tell any of my neighbors, family and friends to use and rely on this company. The technician called our front gate and then sat around for 25 minutes with another technician in front of our house. When I called to talk to customer service at Aliso Air to tell the woman that our technician was just sitting around with another guy, she was rude and said she couldn't do anything about it. I told her it is inappropriate for us to be waiting and to watch this guy chatting it up with another guy while we are sitting here waiting for him. She could have cared less! I told her this is a complaint and again said she could do nothing. I told her we live in a neighborhood where neighbors are always speaking with each other and that I would be sure to let them know how rude she was an how her technicians don't care about being prompt. With all the choices, I WOULD NEVER CALL ALISO AIR. more

The staff is extremely rude. They need to take a lesson in customer service. Not to mention they won't start your repairs until weeks after you need it. They are irresponsible and do NOT call you back when you need them to.
