Nice selection, but food could be better. delivery takes FOREVER, and they never fail to forget numerous items. This will be the last order I place with them. I've given them a number of chances now and it's just not worth it. I'll stick with Viviano's Pizza - the best in the area, hands down. more

Horrible... 8/28/2009

Took pizza 1 hr. and a half and I live around the block, then was told if i didn't like the situation to give the pizza back. On a separate occasion I ordered Italian food for pickup, waited 25 minutes at home, then another 20 in the restaurant at the counter. DO NOT ORDER HERE. I would rather eat domino's than this place. I wish I could give a 0 rating. Cons: Long delivery time, long pick-up time more

surprisingly great food in Briarwood 3/30/2009

I was introduced to Alba by my nephew about 6 months ago and boy, was I surprised!. I have to admit that I am a bit of a food snob but did not realized that there's excellent food right under my nose. I have been eating quite consistantly since and it is consistantly good food. With this economy, I can have a very decent meal at a reasonable amount of money. We are not comparing w/ Del Posto or other celebraty chefs but it is really solid food. I would sincerely suggest to the owner to include pizza into the dining room menu. Sometime, my family and I would just want some of their delicious soup and pizza for a weekday quick bite. Thank you. more

Hidden Gem 2/6/2007

I was visiting my cousin in Queens and me (and the rest of my family - about 15 of us) were starving. He recommended Alba's Pizzeria. So we drive up, it looks like a pizza place. Fine, whatever, I thought. We go to the back, nice enough seating area. Whatever.\r \r Then the food comes. The garlic bread is hot. And delicious. I thought, well, let me wait for the meal before I get too excited. The pasta comes. Penne vodka. I am just stunned. It is delectable, I literally could not stop eating it. I got the veal for my meal. It is just outstanding. My dish was veal topped with eggplant, prosciutto, and cheese. \r \r My cousin tells me the cook is a guy who is actually from Sicily.\r \r I can honestly say, besides my own mother, this is the best Italian food I have ever had. And I've been to a lot of restaurants! \r Pros: The food was just outstanding, the service was great Cons: Not sure if it's a con, but you would never guess how good the food is from the store front more

From the Best NY Pizza to great meals! 10/19/2005

The expanded version of the neighborhood Pizzaeria is just great. This is the Pizza my kids grew up on! Great place to get a few slices or eat in their tablecloth backroom where they serve great food for reasonable prices. The menu is a great list of good basics but the specials are always SPECIAL. Can always get something outstanding in this true to Italy standby. Pros: Wll priced, Great Food, Friendly staff Cons: Simple decor more

MMMM...good 10/11/2005

Albas is the best pizza. Of all my life living in New York it is the best in Queens. It has great service and very large portions for a good price. As well as a place for tourists, many community kids and adults reunite there and have a great slice of New York Pizza. That's what it is all about. The iffy part may be the fact that Queens Blvd. is right in front of it which makes it a hassle to park. Pros: food, service, people Cons: parking more

Terrific neighborhood joint 9/20/2005

Alba's is what every neighborhood needs. A terrific local place with great food at reasonable prices. Portions are very generous and there are always great daily specials. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but the food more than makes up for any lapses there. One downside is that parking in the area is terrible, but this place is still worth a trip. Pros: Great food , Huge portions, Good value Cons: No parking!, Service can be iffy more

Great Food-Friendly Atmosphere 6/14/2004

They started as pizza and some italian fare. They didn't (a few years back)deliver, yet of three exsisting pizza establishments, they were the only one left. Their menu as well as the restaurant has expanded. The best in Queens more
