Al & EDS Autosound is a NEGLIGENT! 1/3/2010

NEGLIGENCE! Al & Ed's on Walnut in Pasadena installed an Escort radar detector in my Carrera. It was a $2,000 job. You'd think for that money I'd get great service & good work done? NO! First the installer put a big deep scratch in my bumper. Then the install was so poor that a cable dangled loose from the undercarrage & broke (they said I "hit a bump"--pleeease). It took almost a month to get the part replaced. According to Joe the owner/opperator the part he "described" to the distributor was incorrectly replaced. Then with NO responses I waited another 2 weeks. And nothing! I got so frustrated by Joe's lack of attention & care, I personally called the President/CEO of Escort & the next day the part was shipped. My car sat in the body shop for 29 days waiting for a simple part that if Joe really cared could've gotten resolved with his supposed resources. In today's economy with so much competition, there are BETTER shops to get good clean work done. Joke! more

Al & EDS Autosound is Awesome! 11/18/2009

Not Happy 7/1/2008

I brought my Honda in to replace the broken factory CD/Radio. I was sold an Alpine, with an iPod cable. It works OK, sounds good. $418.78 installed. Seemed a little pricey--but I just needed it done before a long work trip out of town.\r The installer broke my heater temperature control knob. When I got back to town I went back. This installer made the control work better, but finished snapping off he contoller. He handed me a sheet metal screw to use and suggested I go to a junk yard for the part Al & Eds broke. \r The first installer also smeared black sealant all over the airbag cover on my steering wheel. Why was he even messing around with that? I'm wondering if my airbag is still inside. \r Bottom line: I paid a premium for service. Instead they broke my heating control and shrugged it off. It's been a couple of months, it's an old car, I was incredibly busy that month so I didn't follow through with complaining. I don't recommend this place at all. more

Unprofessional 12/26/2007

I bought a cell phone battery there and we took it out of the package to make sure it would fit my phone. I took it home and plugged it in to charge it and it was a dead battery and wouldn't charge. I still had the receipt and brought it back the next day to exchange it for a good one. They refused to exchange it because I didn't have the packaging, which, as I just said, they kept the day before. RIP OFF!! I had to call the main office for Al & Ed's and raise hell to get a good battery in exchange. more

THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING 11/8/2005

If you are looking forward into investing some money towards a new alarm or a sound system for your car, Al & Ed's is the plcae to do it! The people working at Al & Ed's are very professional and they know what they're talking about. Compared to Circuit City and Best Buys, who only care about getting the job done as quick as possible, Al & Ed's made sure that I understood everything that they did to my car and all the new functions available to me. Although their prices might not be great, their service is unbeatable. more

quality work 7/21/2005

I came to this location because I was recommended by a friend. They did a great job in putting a sound system in my car. I had been to another place and they did a horrible job with the wiring. The price they charged me at al & eds was definitely worth the money I paid. more

Al & Ed's 6/24/2005

I came here when I wanted to install a new CD player and speakers in my old beat up car. They had a great selection to choose from. The workers were very helpful and not pushy. I left that day with an awesome new system for about $300. It's probably not the cheapest place, but they do quality work. more
