Akin & Akin Collision Ctr INC

I love my car and am very particular about who touches it. I was devistated when a deer jumped out in front of me on RT83, I couldn't believe I had to go through this again. I had been in an accident almost a year ago and had the repairs done at another local repair shop. They took twice as long, were rude, and never ended up fixing it right after months of fighting. So I was not excited about having to go through this process again, but this time I didn't make the same mistake. My insurance company told me about Akin and Akin, and reassured me that they would take care of me because they work with them all the time. I had my car towed there called them and immediately knew I wasn't dealing with the same yahoos I had to fight with at the other place. The deer had done some significant damage so the repair wasn't done in a couple of days but when they were finished they had repaired it so I couldn't even tell it had been touched. This three week $9000 dollar repair was a far better experience than last year's three month $3000 repair at that other place! They now have a customer for life. I wish I would have tried them sooner!!!!!! Thanks guys more

I took my car to Akin after a bad crash on the advise of a friend that claimed they did good work. What a gigantic mistake! they had my car for three months! I was told it would be done in 20 days. They pushed back the pick up date on me three times. after 45 days i showed up there unexpectedly to find out they hadnt even started on it. They told me it was almost done when i called the morning before i went there. After having it for three months i finally got the call to come and get it only to find the gaps between the hood, fender, and headlight were so out of wack it was shocking. so i had to wait another day. After three days of having it back i got in the car to find an inch of standing water in the floor because the windshield wasnt installed correctly. I took it back again and it took them another week to supposedly fix it. Here i am 4 months later and the leak is back plus now my hood wont open without someone else out at the hood pulling on it while i pull the latch. They have butchered my car. Im so disgusted by all of the things they screwed up on my car i cant even look at it without becoming furious. My insurance company didnt total my car after the crash but akin and akin did. more

It is very difficult to find any auto repair shop that one can feel comfortable with (truly trust) and KNOW that you are receiving the quality repair work as promised and at a fair price. more
