I have had many brazillians in my time, but let me just say that I have never had quite the experience as I have had here! The atmosphere is fun and would make even the most modest gal feel less uptight about having such an intimate service performed. Juliegh is very knowledgeable and explains things such as aftercare and maintenance thoroughly. She makes sure you are comfortable and lightens the mood with hilarious quotes and artwork around the room. Trust me ladies, it is well worth the price of admission to have such great results with NO BUMPS and NO HAIR for several weeks! I will be a regular for sure! more

At first, body sugaring sounds like a good idea- until you see the prices: $65, $75 if you're a first timer for brazilians. PLUS a minimum of a 15% tip is expected. Or, what if I go to the grocery store and pick up the 2 ingredients (sugar & lemon juice) and mix up my own sugaring wax for under $5? Okay, maybe not, but what do these sky high prices consist of?? I have friends from Syria who DO make their own sugar mix at home (sugar waxing originates from the middle east) and they have gawked at me when I told them about the prices at ahh, sugar, sugar. more

This was my first Brazilian Wax and I must say the experience was Great!!! I spoke with Julie on the Phone and that alone made me feel very comfortable. Julie has a really great personality and she makes you feel really relaxed. I spent so much time talking and laughing that the pain was not as bad as I feared it would be. I must say that on a scale of 1-10 my pain was about a 5. I've already scheduled my next appt. I love the way my bikini area looks and feels I don't want to ever wear panties again :)) Julie was very informative about the care and preventive measures for potential irritation of the waxed area. This was my first time getting hair removed ""down there"". Julie was so funny and laid back and made me feel instantly relaxed. The room is not intimidating like a doctor's office or anything and she turns down the lights except for where she is working so you don't feel quite so exposed. It did hurt but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to and Julie's humor and conversation kept my mind off the pain. And the other reviews are right, she is very very thorough and left NO hair behind. She was also very helpful with tips for reducing any potential bumps and redness. This was wonderful. The first time did hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Julie asked me what my pain level was of my first brazilian and I told her it was a 7. When I returned for my touch up it was about a 2. She was right. The touch ups are not bad at all. The first one wasn't unbearable but there were a few ouchy spots. I am African American and I used to shave and I got so many bumps. My girlfriends at work told me I needed to go see the Sugar Mama-Julie. They told me that she doesn't use hot wax but uses sugar. I had no idea how this sugaring thing works. She just takes a glob and spreads it on your hair and pulls it up. Its amazing how it works. I am so relieved I did this. I only have a few bumps now and I used to be covered with them when I shaved. This is so much better than shaving. I stay completely clean for 4 weeks and only a few hairs are grown back by the time I need a touch up in 6 weeks. My husband reminds me when its time for a touch up. I think he likes it more than I do. In fact, I know he loves it. He couldn't get enough. I rather enjoy the sensations of no hair as well. This is a very fun atmosphere. Julie is so laid back and funny. I felt very at ease. I was very self conscious going in to this but you will love her. She will make you laugh while you get this done. I tried Ahh Sugar Sugar as soon as I moved to Columbia, and I will never go anywhere else. Juleigh is hilarious and makes the process enjoyable. The first time I went, it hurt (of course), but I hardly felt ANYTHING at my 2nd appointment. I couldn't believe it when she told me she was finished! I will never wax again...sugaring is the only way to go! Even after 5 weeks, I hardly had any hair growth. This was a wonderful experience and it was my first real brazillian wax. Julie is great, she makes you feel so comfortable while getting your wax done. I went to another place (Wysteria Spa) first instead of coming to Julie and she did the brazillan wax like it was suppose to be done. Julie removed all the hair and gave me a mirror to see her work. One of my co-workers came in talking about her brazilian sugaring that she got the night before from the ""Sugar Mama"". I never heard of sugaring and I got her number and called. This is fabulous. I used to get brazilian waxing at a local salon. I will get my brazilian SUGARING from the ""sugar mama"" from now on. I love love love sugaring. Very much easier and faster than waxing. I am in the service and have had brazilian waxing from places all over the world. This sugaring brazilian method is the best I have had. I was amazed at how little hair grew back as compared to waxing. It was much faster - Julie was done with my brazilian in 15 minutes. Less painful - I had no bruising or chaffing as I had with waxing. I have now had 3 sugar brazilians and have taken 2 friends along that got their first brazilians and loved them. The sugaring room is very entertaining. She has quotes from clients. Some are quite funny. Now if I could just get Julie to go along with me when I get stationed in Afghanistan in 3 months!! If you need hair removal this is who to see! I had my first brazilian and it was great. As the previous reviewer said, it was not as painful as I thought it was going to be. Well, I finally did it. I got a brazilian and I survived it. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I researched and found body sugaring. I am from Sumter, SC and my parents live in Irmo, SC. I drove to visit them and stopped in to see the ""sugar mama"" on my visit. I am a larger gal and I was really nervous and self conscious. Julie turned off all the lights and only had her overhead work light on. That was a nice touch. I really appreciated it. It wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be. Just a few places were ouchy. I am hooked. She really made it alot of fun and we talked an laughed like we were old friends. I will be back. Love all the sayings all over the walls. Funny. thanks Julie.
