Aesthetic Medicine

After calling several places around town I settled on Aesthetic Medicine because of their inexpensive botox packages and a recommendation from a friend. On my first appt I was pulled into a side office where I was given a sales pitch and pressured to purchase services worth over $2000. I declined and purchased the botox package I initially came in to buy. I have received three botox treatments to date, and have experienced services I feel are well below par. More importantly my botox has never lasted longer than 10 weeks at the most, which is a far shorter period of time than treatments I've received from another local provider. After discussing this with the woman doctor I was told this can happen if I didn't follow the after-care procedures or if the muscles were not totally numbed by the treatment. However, I always follow the after-care steps to the letter, and actually received more units of botox than I received at the other location. Is it possible to dilute botox? I just always feel that this place is rushed, disorganized, unprofessional, and sales-focused. Some of the staff are great, but a few are the opposite of great. I have one remaining botox treatment remaining in my package, but have already chosen a new medical spa where I'll be going for subsequent treatments. I have been going here for over a year now, and I love, love, LOVE the place! The staff is always friendly and welcoming ~ They make me feel comfortable and important as a client. The front desk always addresses me by my first name and keeps me informed if the schedule gets behind. (which IS bound to happen, it's a part of life) It is unfortunate that there have been a few clients that have a bad experience, but I believe those are rare instances, because I have nothing but positive, wonderful remarks to say about the Aesthetic Medicine! I've had botox by a couple of the different doctors they have on staff - and I have loved it everytime! I've had laser treatments, and I love them and the results as well...everything I've done with Dr. Darm and his staff, I have been been greatly satisfied with! I would ABSOLUTELY reccomend Aesthetic Medicine to my friends and family...in fact, I've done so before! Pros: Great Service and friendly staff more

After falling and injuring my back last November, I realized that I needed help to lose the weight my bones were not equipped to carry. I knew this would require a lifestyle change.\r \r My husband and I visited Aesthetic Medicine to see if they could help me achieve my goal. As a Sales Executive myself, I entered the front door with a sense of caution to the glorified sales pitch. \r \r We met with three of their staff, including their Office Manager, Nutritionist, and Dr. Darm. We were extremely impressed with their warm approach and sincere interest in helping me reach my goal.\r \r I started the program early November, and have never once regretted having them as my partners in my mission! \r \r Every week I am blessed to have educational time with their fabulous Dietician and Nutritionist, who work to educate me on smart choices to create the long lasting lifestyle change I set out to accomplish. In addition, I have some time with their wonderful technician who checks me in and performs any necessary lab work needed in order for them to continually monitor my progress.\r \r I also have great appreciation for Dr. Darm, who spends the time with me to discuss my progress, and any issues I may be having. Anytime I have had a question about my lab work, or an issue that I didn't understand why I was experiencing it, he worked with me to resolve it . He is a wonderfully warm and caring man, who places his clients first!\r \r Lastly, I would say that one might look at their program simply from a cost perspective. What I discovered is that you can't place a price on life. I had two choices, 1) either pay the price with my health and the risks of being obese which would ultimately shorten my life, or 2) take control now, invest in my health and well being, and enjoy a much more complete and longer life.\r \r I am so glad I chose the right path for me with a team of professionals at my side that truely want to see my reach my goal! I found a more professional Medical Spa in town that treats me right and they now have my business.\r Dr Darm's practice is probably not going to last much longer if they keep up with these types of problems and lack of customer service.\r I recomend you move on also Pros: Not Recomended more

I think it's a bit sad that the office manager actually got on here to rate this office in order to bring up their rating on this website. The other reviews are factual...I would do my homework before visiting this office for sure! Cons: These people are worse than used car salespeople more

I could just kick myself for being gullible enough to fall for Aesthetic Medicine's sales pitch. They talked me into having all kinds of procedures done to lessen the appearance of wrinkles and rosacea on my face. The doctor assured me that I would see good results and showed me all the before & after photos of supposed previous clients. This fool and her money signed up for thousands of dollars worth of treatments. They said it would take quite awhile before I could expect to see improvements, so I was patient. But when I had completed all the treatments and I still couldn't tell a thing had been done to my face, I asked to see my before & after photos. They made me schedule an appointment just for that. So I did, but they told me the doctor who knew how to run the before & after images was not in that day. So I rescheduled and came back. Then a different person told me that the doctor who knew how to run the before & after images was not in that day. The kept telling me they could see the improvement, trying to convince me, but I really didn't see it and I was tired of coming back to try to see my before & after pictures. They did retreat the rosacea veins in my nose and chin area several times and finally those did disappear. I was still upset about my wrinkles not improving, but I figured, at least I got one of the benefits I paid for. However, about 2- 3 months after the rosacea disappeared, it came back just as bad as before! I contacted the office and left a message asking if they refund any money if the client is unsatisfied, but nobody ever called me back. Throughout all of the above I was very polite, but I feel like a complete idiot for doling out that kind of money for absolutely no results. At least I didn't let them treat the vericose veins in my legs for an additional couple grand... I managed to save a little of my money and pride. This is a sales office with a Doctor's name on the door. All they really SELL is the Lazer Lift...and they put that unproven technique nonstop.\r \r The staff is painfully undertrained. I had to go in three times for my brow lines (forrehead) and it just is not that confusing. The Botox HAS to be watered down, because they poured in in and I have been getting in that spot successfully for years. Also, they don't follow up, and ntheir products are not Physician Strength which begs the question: ""Is there a Doctor in the house?????"" I think not. Pros: Cheap Cons: Change their prices to spite guarantees on advertised price. The Staff doen't know what they are doing. more

I think that the staff are very nice here and Dr Darm is a good doctor. I signed up for laser lift. Its hard to see results for yourself, but others including my mother and husband have defintiely commented and recognized that my skin looks better than it ever has. the procedure called laser lift takes 6 monhts and costs about $2000.00 It is supposed to stimulate collagen. I think it works for sure, BUT don't do this if you are expecting dramatic results. Its not dramatic. do a face lift if you want that. do this if you have the money to spend and want to improve the overall quality of your skin. more
