I wish to begin by commending and recommending Aegean to anyone who is considering having an in ground swimming pool installed or in need of customer service. My wife and I are in our senior years and decided to have one installed for the family, specifically for the grandchildren. A significant purchase as this at this time in our lives was not one to be taken lightly. We did our research and due diligence by asking around, talking with family, friends and coworkers. And like many today, I read the reviews posted on various venues of ""social media"", both pro and con. If there is one thing in life that I have learned over the years, it is not to rely totally on opinions of others, especially from a total stranger on line, who may be carrying a grudge or did not like the final outcome of a decision. I wise old lady once told me ""Son, believe only half of what you see and nothing you have heard"". We considered all the information we gathered and everywhere we turned, it led to Aegean Pools. We visited their retail store in Chesapeake to meet and talk with their staff. It confirmed or decision to use them to construct our pool. We were impressed with their professional design and sales staff, as well as the staff that were working in the retail store, very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone was extremely courteous and genuinely concerned that we were taken care of. That sealed the deal for us. The pools was constructed as we were shown. The crews were very professional and answered any questions we had. We were kept informed daily by their construction manager as to the progress. Their was an issue with the new pump just after the installation and when I called about it, their was no hesitation to have it replaced. The programming of our salt system is somewhat intimidating and when I called, the construction manager walked me through the step to correct an issue. They even had the manufactures representative stop by to talk with me when he was in town. This is the kind of company that I absolutely do not have any hesitation or reservation recommending to anyone who is considering having a swimming pool installed. I can see why they have an A+ rating with the BBB. If you are considering having a pool installed, please do yourself a favor, and at least meet and talk with them before you make your final decision. I think you will find as we did, they are a great company and fantastic people to work with. My entire family love the pool. more

Very unsatisfied! Aweful customer service! Battlefield Blvd. sotre told us the wrong part name to order. I was told (by more than one person) that I needed to replace the ""flow sensor"" for the 3-port cell. Turns out what I needed was called the ""port sensor"" for the 3-port cell. Thus I ordered the wrong part. Very unsatisfied with the customer service provided in this case! more

We bought our pool from Aegean back in the late 90s. From our salesman Ron down to the people in the store we have never had a problem. Rico has replaced our liner once two years ago. The people in the store are absolutely wonderful. Jim is the guy you want to ask if you have a question, he know everything about swimming pools. more

I have been a customer with Aegean Pools for about 6 years now. When my husband and I bought our house we had never had a pool, knew nothing about owning a pool, and where scared to death. We called Aegean Pools, we went into the store and reassured that we could do this. Yes they do get busy in the summer time and can be a little overwhelmed, but all in all I would say we have had excellent service over the years. Oh, by the way Aegean did not build our pool but they have ALWAYS helped us and been professional. more

I am not sure what happen with mcbmf, but I have been shopping at Aegean Pools for years and always found their customer service to be 2nd to none. I find their hours reasonable for any small business. I will continue to shop at Aegean Pools! Pros: Lots of friendly assistance with all my pool problems. Cons: Still looking for one. more

I'd recommend calling with very low expectations. The girl who answers the phone is rude. Not once, but consistently for years. If you DO get patched through to leave a message with service, they won't return your call. We have an in-ground pool that by year 10, the decking cracked by the stairs, the coping is separating, and it leaks about 4,000 gallons over the winter (it's a 28k gal pool). I called and was greeted (once again) by the obnoxious Little Miss- I really don't want to be bothered. What a way to greet a paying customer. I just want it fixed. I really dislike the they way she's treated us over the years- but at least she's consistently rude and a great example of how not to treat customers or get repeat business. I have taken my service business elsewhere. That, and their hours are horrible; unless your unemployed. Pros: Good inventory of parts. Cons: Customer and Product Service more
