Excellent service, got us going in no time at all. Totally explained all aspects of the camper's operation, plus how to quickly diagnose common problems.

Ed and George were professional, extremely helpful and responsive to our needs! They run an honorable business and I highly recommend them for anyone needing a large van to travel with a big group of people! more

Viking Pop-up makes a great fishing home base 10/11/2013

I spent a the last week of September flyfishing the South Platte in and around Elevenmile Canyon with a Viking 2108ST and a KIA Suv from Adventure Camper. I like to get on the water early, and off late, and having my "home base" 50 feet from the river is a real luxury. If I were to stay in a hotel in Colorado Springs and drive to the Canyon every day, I'd have to get up before dawn, pack a bunch of stuff in the car, and drive an hour in the dark each way. This is the second time in 3 years that I've rented an SUV and camper from Ray and the crew; both times were good experiences. Coming from out of state as I do, the airport pickup/dropoff service they offer is a great help too. more

Excellent 10/10/2013

My two boys and I do big road trips every year. We decided to do Rocky Mountain NP this last summer and rented a tent trailer from these guys. We showed up at their rental location with our mountain bikes and bike rack per their instructions. When we arrived it turned out that our bikes on our bike rack would not work. At first, it seemed that we were screwed with having our mountain bikes.... But, one of the guys there that pretty much is the Macgyver of their business said he would make it work. They hooked up their hitch and their bike rack and rigged the chains etc. to make it work. I was very pressed and we had a fantastic time and the trailer was perfect. They never charged me extra for anything. I would rent from them or refer anyone to them absolutely!!! The one thing they should Do to prevent an almost disaster vacation is be very specific about vehicle types and if you are bringing a rear mount bike rack. The young guy on phone was clueless about that when I called the week before we left California. Ask the guy who actually hooks trailers up. He saved our trip when the other guys said looks like it won't work. Thanks for a great trip. Give him a raise ( he knows who he is ) Thanks. Dr. Hamlin - Napa Valley, Ca more

A terrible experience provided by Adventure Camper Rental of Jackson, Wyoming and Denver, CO, stranded in Yellowstone for 3 days with no heat 9/30/2013

A terrible experience provided by Ray, Ed and Adventure Camper Rental of Jackson, Wyoming and Denver, CO, stranded in Yellowstone for 3 days with no heat and a four year old daughter, read more... I waited over thirty minutes for Ray (the owner) to pick me up at our hotel. The location is 20 minutes outside of Jackson (not close at all from what we were told). We reviewed the camper. Looked fine, until Ray was unable to hitch the camper to our rental vehicle and had to jerry-rig the hitch. Our drive to Yellowstone was fine and the setup of the camper was easy. First night (Tuesday) went well. Furnace quite loud, but at least it produced heat. Second night (Wednesday), my wife and I smelled smoke and the furnance failed to light. This was around midnight. Keep in mind, we have a four year old child with us. By the morning we are frozen (rain, snow, hail, and temps in the 20's). I gather all the quarters we have to call Ray's emergency phone, because there is no cell phone reception in Yellowstone, only pay phones. Why not have an 800 number for emergencies? Ray tells me the battery is low and needs to be charged for 2-3 hours and the furnance will work. We followed his insturctions, including replacing a blown fuse. Still no heat. We decide to enjoy our day at Yellowstone. I called Adventure Camper several times only to receive the same advice, which I clearly stated has not worked. I asked if they would refund some of our money so we could book a hotel. A simple "NO" was recieved until they could examine the camper. Essentially telling us to freeze another night with our child, and then we will see what we can do. Our last night (Thursday), we used the cooking range to warm the cabin. Not only dangerous due the fumes, buy it exhausted the propane. So we had no heat in the morning to cook or warm. I call again Friday morning to ask if we return the camper early, do we still need to pay for the last day of our rental. Another, "NO, we do not prorate." Even though we have had no heat for 3 days. Unbelivable. Thanks Ed and Ray. We return to Jackson. The problem is confirmed after several questions that inferred we were morons and did not know what we were doing. Ray said he would refund some of our money (still charged us for the car), but complained after I asked for a refund confirmation before we left Jackson. "Is my word not good enough," he said. HA! Ray sent us to Yellowstone with no heat and no service for 3 days. What a joke. I would not trust Ray, Ed or Adventure Camper with anything at this point. An awful experience caused by a terribly operated company. FYI, I passed several other camper companies along the road to Adventure Camper, so I would recommend them site unseen before using Ray's abortion of a business. Recommendations Actually trust the customer when they tell them repeatedly their equipment has failed. Do not dismiss custumers and ignore their requests. Have a 800 number for emergencies, rather than asking the customer to pump quarters into a pay phone. Give customers resonable expections as to equipment limitations. Don't cop an attitude when a customer requests proof of a refund. Don't threaten additional charges for the failure of their equipment. Be on time when you agree to pick up customers. Offer to put customers into a hotel, rather than suggesting they freeze in Yellowstone. Ray, Ed and the rest of them have no clue how to run a business properly. more

Our rental was tidy and ready to go! Great experience. 7/17/2013

Adventure Camper Rentals did everything they said they would do. We were picked up at the airport on time as promised. I also really appreciated that all of the equipment was ready to use and perfectly clean. The whole experience was great! more

Good quality materials, a little expensive for short trips 6/18/2013

Adventure Camper Rentals was good to work with, and I had a good experience using their rentals. The reservations went fine, the setup went fine-just a little longer than I would have preferred-and the product was satisfactory. There was an issue with water collecting on the campy but that wasn't Adventure Camper's fault. The product and service and such pleased us and I considered using them again. The value especially for only a 4 night rental wasn't as cost effective as I would have liked but I would still use them again. more

DON'T USE. Offered a cheap daily rate 5/9/2012

DON'T USE. Offered a cheap daily rate for a truck rental and in the end got charged another day for no reason. The owner didn't care and simply said ""that's our system."" more
