Avoid this hospital at all cost. They have poor patient care and no predicate endocrinology. We had to be transferred to Central DuPage Hospital. We had to walk ourselves out the door. No help to smooth the transfer. The doctor and nurse were clueless how to treat people right. more

Stay away they have no idea what is going on, someone put Junuvia 50 mg in my husbands medicine list and his sugar dropped to 24 ,which is a diabetic coma or seizure stage,to find out they also did not give him his heart meds as needed. They gave once a day instead of twice a day and they had the script that said twice a day. Called doctor on call and finally after 3 calls she finally answered. They should be shut down. My friend was also taken there and was injected with a dirty needle and was put in ICU for blood infection. Doctors try to take you off meds that you have taken for years without contacting your normal doctors. to pay $13000 a year in taxes and be taken by ambulance to this place is a terrible thing. I have never seen a place ran so bad in my entire life. more

I do like this hospital. 10/21/2009

I've been going to this hospital for about 7yrs. Although many feel that they have poor service. I have to give them an A for getting down to the ""nitty gritty"". They make sure they find whats wrong. I have had an experience where they took a very long time to service me, however we all get impatient when were sick and feel like were not being given the correct amount of attention. When they have 50 patients come into the ER, its kinda difficult to keep everybody satified. I have also been there many other times when I couldn't believe how fast they had me out the door. I've also had two surgeries there, and the staff took very good care of me. If we patients, could be a little bit more understanding, then we might not get worked up over nothing. Working in healthcare, I do understand their side, and until you have a job that is that demanding, you won't get it. Pros: They get down to the bottom of your problem. Cons: Sometimes you may feel neglected. more

Poor service 8/18/2009

I was a paitient here for 9 months. After a short time I taken out of my bed at 2 AM, and brought to an isolation room. I was told that I have to write down alll the people that I have been sending out mail that were on the restricted list. Considering I had not sent out any mail the entire time I was there. This caused some heated discussion. I admit I did become angry and punching the walls. They went and got 14 gaurds to take me ascross a hall to put me in restraints. I walked peacfully into the room. Then morning shift came on and asked me why I was here. They had no idea. No one from the night shift told them anything. I felt as if I was being played with by sadistic people. I would rather personnaly medicate my children then send them there Cons: service more

Uncaring 8/3/2009

This hospital doesn't care and has no appreciation for good employees. The HR person is very insensitive and arrogant. more

Complete Nightmare 4/26/2009

I will never go to this hospital again. 1) We received the wrong dispatch papers when leaving the hospital, they attached our dispatch papers with those of another patient who sliced his hand open. They just ""apologized"" and didn't think anything of it. 2) No panic or call button in the room while you're waiting for your doctor to come in. 3) A required payment deposit before leaving. I had to take my boyfriend to Central DuPage hospital afterward and they did not charge us for a deposit. 4) Wrong diagnosis. They diagnosed my boyfriend with pharyngitis and sent him home, even after complaining of sore kidneys and a fever of 103. His fever rose to 104 that same night and we had to go to the other hospital and he was then diagnosed with pneumonia and acute bronchitis. This was all in ONE visit. I will never go to this hospital again. Pros: Nothing more

worst hospital ever!!! 1/19/2009

The emergency room doctor is arrogant and doesn't take time to explain anything (Dr. Lamont), just sends nurse in with medication with no explanation. Being admitted is no different. The call system is horrible. Who can 'DIAL 555"" when an ""rapid response"" is needed ??? You use the call button instead and it takes too long for someone to ask over speaker ""what do you need""? Then it takes forever for a nurse to come in. The call button should be for ""immediate response"" and dialing an extension should be for minor issues (it's just the opposite). When someone needs immediate attention, you expect them to pick up the phone and dial?????? The meal system is also bad. A sick patient calls for a meall and it takes 5 minutes on hold for someone to answer? It seems this hospital is more interested in ""automating"" everything so the nurses can continue to laugh and socialize at the nursing station instead of providing service. This is not a hotel, it is a hospital. It should begin acting like one. Don't here if you want to get better. Travel a little further and go to CCD or Alexian Center. Pros: Emergency room patient rooms Cons: too concerned with automation, not patient care more
