Review content:
The emergency room doctor is arrogant and doesn't take time to explain anything (Dr. Lamont), just sends nurse in with medication with no explanation. Being admitted is no different. The call system is horrible. Who can 'DIAL 555"" when an ""rapid response"" is needed ??? You use the call button instead and it takes too long for someone to ask over speaker ""what do you need""? Then it takes forever for a nurse to come in. The call button should be for ""immediate response"" and dialing an extension should be for minor issues (it's just the opposite). When someone needs immediate attention, you expect them to pick up the phone and dial?????? The meal system is also bad. A sick patient calls for a meall and it takes 5 minutes on hold for someone to answer? It seems this hospital is more interested in ""automating"" everything so the nurses can continue to laugh and socialize at the nursing station instead of providing service. This is not a hotel, it is a hospital. It should begin acting like one. Don't here if you want to get better. Travel a little further and go to CCD or Alexian Center.
Pros: Emergency room patient rooms
Cons: too concerned with automation, not patient care
