Advantage Auto Repair's work is great. I thought they were just fantastic. I heard about them on a radio show and I said to my wife that we should check them out. We've been down there about three times now and every time I would rate them a 5, to be honest with you. I would call days in advance to make sure they had a spot ready for me the day I wanted to take a vehicle in, and they are always ready for me when they say they will be. The vehicles were always ready by the time they said they would be too, and they put papers on the floor and covered the steering wheel so that nothing gets greasy. I'm an old timer, and years ago I used to work in a service station, back in the 60's. You want someone who knows your car, and Oscar and his group of people, especially Oscar himself, really care. They check everything and let you know what's wrong. I feel like, especially for my wife's sake, that we are more safe with them because when they fix the problems, I don't have to go back. I recommend them to everybody, though sometimes I don't want to, because, like a good restaurant, the fewer people that know about it, the less you have to wait! "American" Dave Michael Fulton more

The most informative and helpful mechanics I have found in Tucson... Before any work was done on my BMW they explained to me all the steps they would preform.. They also told me what they charged for and what they didn't... UNLIKE Independant BMW that creates line items to charge you just because you baught a BMW. This was my first time going to Advantage Auto Repair and they were absolutely fabulous. I took my car in to have a lot of different things worked on, and they actually exceeded my expectations. My car had been making a noise for years, and there were able to take care of that. It turned out to be a problem with one of the gaskets, and now the noise gone. Advantage Auto Repair were actually referred by Jim Parisi on his radio show. So, I called them and they had me drop off my car. I talked exclusively with Oscar, and he was fabulous. I look forward to going back there. more

Advantage Auto Repair replaced a motor for us; it was a very big job. My son purchased a car, and when it arrived it started to overheat. He brought it into a local brake shop, and they said they repaired it. As soon as he got it the same thing was happening. I looked online to find an actual mechanic. I came across Advantage Auto Repair's website, and they had wonderful reviews, so I had the car towed to him. Oscar explained everything in detail. He was very patient and very informative. We decided to go with him to do the work, and we are very happy with it. The car works great now. Oscar is reliable, and he gives an estimate and stays with it. He told us how long it would take, and it took that long. It was a wonderful experience. more

I took a vehicle to Advantage Auto Repair that had been sitting for a couple of years. Basically, the vehicle was dead and they resurrected it. So far, everything has worked out great, but they had to special order a part, so they still have it. Oscar has been great to work with. He keeps me up to date about what is going on. The mechanic at Advantage Auto Repair, Oscar, was very thorough and very detail-oriented. He walked me through what he saw and told me the truth. I felt he was very knowledgeable and trustworthy. It was my first time using them. They did some major work including brakes, a cylinder, and my AC unit. It is the first mechanic shop that I have gone to where I felt they were family-oriented and safe. I trust his opinion and don't need a second one. The car has been running fine. There was one issue that was just a standard thing that happens after all the services I received, and Oscar explained it to me. He told me that it would work itself out or I could come in and he would speed up the process. It did work itself out. more

I have used Advantage Auto Repair personally for my car's brakes twice. I drive a Yukon, and I am extremely rough on brakes. Both times the repairs were wonderful. My husband also had work done at Advantage, and again, the work was done absolutely to his satisfaction. Everything has been really good, and we have been using them for over 2 years now. One thing I find absolutely wonderful about Oscar and his business is the way he treats his customers. He does not have a cold or impersonal atmosphere. He really takes the time to listen and figure out what is wrong. Not only that, but he is very good about letting us know if the job is going to take longer than anticipated. He calls and lets us know that something came up and asks if we would mind if he kept the car a little longer. He also gives us a new timeline. It helps us plan our day. He is not cold and impersonal; it's really nice. more

Advantage is the first auto repair shop that I have patronized in the last 10 years that completely inspected my vehicles with each service. I own 4 commercial vehicles each driving 80K miles per year. I met Oscar when a belt snapped on a one of those vehicles that had been serviced only 500 miles earlier by someone else. I would gladly pay more for comprehensive service than lose the income from an unexpectedly downed vehicle. I have found that my costs with Advantage are lower - I LIKE THAT! more

They were very quick at taking a look at my car, and had diagnised the problem within 2 minutes. Very friendly service that felt trust-worthy. The only negative I have would be their communication while the car is in the shop, I kept having to call to get updates or to find when it was ready rather than them calling me. But, on the whole I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them to a friend. more
