My daughter has attended Acrotex for over a year and she LOVES it. She started as a very shy kid and now won't stop bouncing around the house and doing cart-wheels everywhere she goes. The coaches are very professional and the front desk is very helpful. We love the ""Parents night out"" and ""Tumble night"" and ""Fun Fridays"".... she always look forward to her lessons and the time at the GYM. more

I contacted Acrotex via their website and signed up for the free trial. I received an email asking me to call them and set up my free class. I repeatedly called during their office hours and no one ever answered their phone. I left several messages but no one returned my calls. After several weeks, I sent a return email explaining my challenge to the person who sent the first email. I received a call this afternoon. I was told that I could no longer receive a free trial class because all the classes were full. The lady was extremely unpleasant to talk to and not someone I want my child around or someone I want to do business with. more

Do not enroll here! 12/9/2011

My daughter enrolled in the Round Rock location last week of Sept. First they told me that she could do the Tuesday class. On Tuesday they called and said that the class was full, to go to the Thursday class. When we arrived to try it out for our free lesson I was told that there was 1 spot available and two girls trying it out. I had to make a decision right then and paid $35 registration and Oct. pymt. We were placed with a teacher who clearly did not want to be there. She paid little to no attention to my child and at one of the classes even had her little child participate in the practices even though she was not enrolled. At registration I asked to be placed on the wait list for Tuesday's class with another teacher and when I asked about it two weeks later was told that they had called me because a spot had opened up but I hadn't returned their call. I told them that at no time had I received a phone call and if I had, I would've jumped at the opportunity because I didn't feel the teacher we were assigned to was teaching my child. During another class I had dropped my child off and when I returned my child ran to me crying saying that she didn't know how to do handstands and the teacher expected her to do it. At no time did her teacher come to see why my child was crying with me. I had also asked this teacher two weeks into the classes how my child was doing. She responded with a curt ""fine"". No elaboration. My child has participated in dance, soccer, tennis and numerous other activities and I have never been treated the way I was treated by her. I'm sure some of the teachers at this facility care about their students but the one my child was assigned to did not. I was offered a chance to switch to another class the 2nd to the last week of Nov. but by this point my child had clearly become frustrated and wanted nothing to do with gymnastics. And this was a big change compared to how excited and enthusiastic she was when she first started. I would not recommend this facility Acrotex in Round Rock to anyone. more

horrible service, disrespectful, discriminating. Be aware!! 10/5/2011

I called Acrotex a week in advance to see if my 3 1/2 year old son could try a class, which they advertise on their website. They said there was no problem, I ask if the class was just for girls they said no, so I gave them my phone number and information. The day came for the class, we drove there and once we arrived the lady at the front desk, with a horrible attitude of disdain, asks us what we wanted. I politely told her I called a week ago to try a class with my kid, then she asks me how old was she? I told her HE is a 3 1/2 year old boy. She looked at me for a second, probably processing that He was a boy, then pretended to look for something on the desk then said to me wait in here let me see. She disappeared and minutes later came back saying the class is full so he can't go in. I told her that we called in advance, that I left my phone number so they could give me a call if there was any cancellation. She looked at me like she could not care less and said; well I guess someone just walked in minutes before you and sign for the class so he can't do it. I was amazed for being treated like that not even an apology, be polite at least say sorry, the least they could do. I understand I did not pay for it, it was a trial class but some common sense on calling or apologizing, respect your costumers. Why in the world will you advertise and promote a trial class if you don't even care about people interested on signing up for it? I really doubt they had my info anyway, otherwise she would have known I was bringing a BOY and not a girl. I told her politely again, because you can't argue with people that doesn't care, that I could not believe it so she said, well you can try on Thursday afternoon again. I looked at her and could not believe what she was saying, really? you think I am so dumb to try again when I know for sure they will probably tell me the same story: ""someone JUST walked in and signed up for the class minutes before you walked in"" Well, very sad that they discriminate boys from gymnastics, I thought our country was well passed the discriminating era!! Sad to realize it is not true. So, If you want to try a class and you happen to have a boy, follow my advice DO NOT GO TO ACROTEX!! go somewhere else. more

Acrotex is great! 9/9/2010

WOW! I was super impressed with the coaching staff! The knowledge of skills and the ability to interact well with my daughter and all of the other children was phenomenal. Ever since the new manager started running the gym it has started to smell nicer look nicer, and we have finally been getting our money's worth! It is fantastic. The customer service has been great as well. I would not put my daughter in any other gym. Thank you acrotex! I would recommend it to everyone! more

Not worth the hassle 1/14/2010

The classes were mediocre, and the coaches, with an exception for a couple, were completely disinterested in the kids (some had obvious disdain for them). Three weeks into attending the Thursday class, which we had registered for we, were informed we had been put in the Wednesday class. Even though it was their mistake, I had to set my schedule around theirs. After taking a break from gymnastics, we tried re-registering my daughter only to find out the policy; your child ""will be dropped by the 25th of the month"" can suddenly switch to ""CAN be dropped by the 25th of the month"", and they demand the months payments which, even though you did not attend. And good luck with the make-up classes. You can only miss one class per month to make up, and if it falls on a weekend you are unable to attend- you are the one out of luck. All in all, they have NO customer satisfaction what so ever, and the people running the office have no idea what their own policy is (I now know this comes from the owners arbitrarily changing the policy according to what benefits them most at the time). After trying to work with them and bending over backwards to try to make this a good experience I have had it, and looking for a new gym. Pros: Low-key introduction to gymnastics for children more
