My daughter enrolled in the Round Rock location last week of Sept. First they told me that she could do the Tuesday class. On Tuesday they called and said that the class was full, to go to the Thursday class. When we arrived to try it out for our free lesson I was told that there was 1 spot available and two girls trying it out. I had to make a decision right then and paid $35 registration and Oct. pymt. We were placed with a teacher who clearly did not want to be there. She paid little to no attention to my child and at one of the classes even had her little child participate in the practices even though she was not enrolled. At registration I asked to be placed on the wait list for Tuesday's class with another teacher and when I asked about it two weeks later was told that they had called me because a spot had opened up but I hadn't returned their call. I told them that at no time had I received a phone call and if I had, I would've jumped at the opportunity because I didn't feel the teacher we were assigned to was teaching my child. During another class I had dropped my child off and when I returned my child ran to me crying saying that she didn't know how to do handstands and the teacher expected her to do it. At no time did her teacher come to see why my child was crying with me. I had also asked this teacher two weeks into the classes how my child was doing. She responded with a curt "fine". No elaboration. My child has participated in dance, soccer, tennis and numerous other activities and I have never been treated the way I was treated by her. I'm sure some of the teachers at this facility care about their students but the one my child was assigned to did not. I was offered a chance to switch to another class the 2nd to the last week of Nov. but by this point my child had clearly become frustrated and wanted nothing to do with gymnastics. And this was a big change compared to how excited and enthusiastic she was when she first started. I would not recommend this facility Acrotex in Round Rock to anyone.
