I first tried swim lessons at the Athletic Club swim school in Newhall because it was close to our home, but I soon found out that it was not the Santa Clarita Swim Club, who I guess left last year. The people there were not customer oriented and the lessons were not what I expected for my 4 year old. After two months of frustration with the staff and the not so clean and old facility, I signed my child up for lessons at the Academy Swim Club. Wow! What a difference. They treated us as if we were special, the place was new, very clean and well layed out. The pool and the murals were exciting for my child. The instructors had a much better attitude and communications with the parents. They sing songs, have special days and their water safety program is incredible. I would advise anyone who is looking for swimming lessons for their child to stop looking when you get to the Academy. The lessons might be a little more expensive, but what you and your child get in return more than compensat
