is the worse ever, a real scam, they asked to pay everything in advance then they start playing and not schedule driving lessons, dont go there, the trainer john is very rude nervous and unprofessional, i warned you dont go there, now they took all the payment and cancel my remain classes and also cancel my road test. Me and my wife both took lessons from Academy Driving School. We both are new drivers. We both took lessons from John. He is an expert instructor with lots of patience. Academy arranged road test for us and we got pass. The fee is very very reasonable and it is the best place for specially newcomers because all staff provide us the best information and the instructor are best, price is worthy. After looking up a few other driving schools in the area, I found Academy Driving School to have competitive, reasonable rates and attentive customer service. They were able to easily accommodate my busy work schedule. The receptionist was great at scheduling my lessons and road test to ensure I had consistent practice before my test. I signed up for 10 classes, the road test, and 5 hour class, and ended up buying 5 more classes just to be on the safe side, and it was worth it - I took my road test today and passed on the first try! \r \r Being new to driving, I started out really nervous and unfocused; John and his fellow instructors are super patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated and were able to teach me how to be a calmer, safe driver. They inform you respectfully of your mistakes and how to safely correct them, all while calming you down and teaching you useful driving tips. \r \r Highly recommend them, and I'll be signing up to take advanced driving classes in the near future! more

've had a great experience working with the Driving School. My instructor was very punctual, professional, knowledgeable but also very patient. Their goal is to really teach you how to drive, not merely to pass a driving test. All in all, I am very grateful and would highly recommend to anyone looking for driving lessons or classes! more

I highly recommend Academy Driving School!!! I got my license on my first test and it was only because I had the help of an excellent staff! Starting from Melissa, who was always on point and kept me updated on my lesson's schedule. Then there is John and Oscar who are just the best instructors ever!!! I passed my CDL class B, thanks to John and Academy Driving School. I would deffinately recommend, Academy Driving School to anyone looking to get their licence or cdl. Once again, thank u John for teaching me what I know. See you soon for class A licence. more

Academy Driving School is probably one of, if not THE, best driving schools out there. Conveniently located on Wyckoff Avenue (1 block from the L&M lines), they offer classes as early as 6am and as late as 8pm. It definitely doesn't get better than that since I'm a super busy working individual. I took (numerous) classes with another school and I still failed my 1st road test. I decided to go with Academy and within 5 classes I passed my 2nd road test. John (the instructor) is definitely knowlegeable and also friendly (when he needs to be - he is an instructor after all). But he'll definitely let you know what you need to improve on and doesn't stall on getting to the ins and outs of driving. He'll definitely give you everything you need to know for the road test and everyday driving. I think this school is definitely worth the money and you'll definitely see the results once you get your license! more

I called yesterday and talked to the ""office manager"", we got me all setup for classes. I specifically told her to charge me on 2 different cards, it seemed easy enough. But not for her, she instead called me telling me that I had an overpayment...I cleared it up for her and she seemed annoyed. I'm sorry...she made the error. I let it go; 24hours passed and had not heard back from anyone about my driving lesson start date. I called the office and John answered my call...another rude person. I explained to him that it should not take so long to schedule me for some classes...I had already paid half my bills. He rudely responded with...the girl will call you when she can. I thought I was the customer - giving YOU money. I expect nothing but professionalism. The ""office manager"" called me back and gave me the two (terrible) options for 5hour class dates. Weds from 5pm to 10pm or Sats 12pm to 5pm. Neither date worked for me. She proceeded to lie and said that she had already told me this and why was I surprised. Long story short....she raised her voice, we went back and forth. I requested a refund and now she didn't know how to do that....interesting enough she knew how to charge my card. Either way, as of now I am waiting for this so called ""john"" to call me back and give me a refund. These people should NOT be in business. I will report them to the better business bureau and spread the word about how horrible these people are. more

I paid $59 for one motorcycle lesson...i specificallly said i work mornings when she booked my lesson at 7 i never thought she booked it for the morning long story short i missed my lesson on top of that the woman was really rude she sed i lost da money n couldnt do anything to call da owner also said she called me but she had the wrong # she should have double checked didnt even reapeat the # to me....how difficult can her lame job be!!!! NOT ONLY THAT but she also said that the owner wasnt going to get rich on my $59!!! how u treat da ppl that feed u this way seriously if she would have been nice it would have pissed me off so much more

I have bad experience about taking lessons and driving curs for tractor trailer driver.Clerks are very indolent and unprofessional.One of them scheduled me double lesson on The Labor Day.I woke in 5.30 to take my class and then while I was waiting for instructor realize that I was victim of bad service.Once clerks totally forgot to tell instructor about my next day lesson.So,again I lost my time,transportation money and rest for nothing.Also,they called me all the time and were canceling or reschedule my classes which was,by the way, very frustrating.Every class instructor was late 5-10 min.On my last double lesson instructor was late 25 minutes.And always annoyed excuses.Snow,rain,hooligans,malfunction,DMV...That were only part of wide assortment of excuses. more
