I bid on a gift certificate for carpet cleaning through this company at a charity event. It was for carpet cleaning for two rooms and a hallway. This company is a textbook example of bait and switch. I ended up getting less than one room done because of a convoluted explanation of the certificate. Greg, the manager, who said he wasn't the owner and then quickly said he was the owner once I asked to speak to the actual owner, was argumentative, demeaning, and rude.
He flat out said, "We're not donating to charity again. It's too much labor and it's backbreaking work. We don't get anything out of it." Well, wouldn't you think he would already know this before donating a service to a charity fundraiser?
In the end he wanted the company to get free advertising at a charitable fundraiser and then not have to honor the certificate. I've heard of cut-throat businesses, but to USE A CHARITY for your benefit instead of simply saying, "No, thank you. We don't want to contribute/participate," is morally wrong.
Save yourself the headache, hire ANY other company and make them give you an estimate in writing with the terms of condition.
Absolute Carpet Cleaning's management is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.
The technician did a decent job, despite the company's low ethical standards.
