We have been taking our dogs to Abraxas for our grooming & boarding needs for many years. April, Pat & Kim are always accommodating and very friendly. The boarding area is always clean and the grounds are very well groomed. We would highly recommend Abraxas for your pets needs. more

STAY AWAY! \r \r They left my poor dog out in the cold all day when I got there they had pretended that he had been in a resort instead of a prison! What a terrible place to bring an animal. These people should be shut down. It's worth driving across the valley to find a place that actually care about the animals as much as us owners do. more

This was a terrible place with dogs outside in the snow and a stench so morbid any pet owner should turn right around a run! An appointment had been set to groom the cat - the front door elderly woman was incredibly abrupt and disrespectful and amazing unhelpful. The lady in scrubs didn't say hello but instead stated everything they wouldn't do rather than confirming the grooming appointment and telling me by what time the cat would be ready to pick up. Upon leaving, the ragged frayed chain link fence (pictures taken) tore a huge hole in my shoes to which the management told me the owner would immediately be in touch. This of course didn't happen until several calls and reminders days later. Upon picking the cat up nothing had been done to satisfaction or specification and they overcharged my credit card as an additional stab in the back. The call with the owner days later consisted of them failing to admit guilt, offer any form of compensation and merely stated ""too bad"" when the question was posited on what they could do - to at least fix the broken gate. I fear that people are being ripped off, treated poorly and are going to a place that is unfit for any animal. What a horrible place. more

This is a poor excuse of a groomer. We brought our dogs here since our regular groomer didn't have an opening for a month. WISH WE NEVER DID!! I brought in a Labradoodle, Shih Tzu and a Havanese. What we got back were THREE POODLES!!!!!! We specifically told them not to cut our labradoodle in a poodle cut and they did! These people don't have a f*ck*ing clue how to follow instructions or they just don't give a crap. I'm so angry!!!\r \r Their fur will grow back, but that does not give them the excuse to cut off all the waterfall fur tail for our labradoodle or cut my Shih Tzu's beautiful flowing ears down to skin. This place is beyond horrible and I don't recommend it to anyone!!! THEY SUCK.\r \r April from Abraxus just called me back. They voided the transaction so I won't have to pay for it BUT!!! She said they'll never groom our dogs again... well, duh, do you think I'm coming back? Then she said she warned other groomers in the area not to groom our pups or if they did, to be careful. WTF??? So they bad mouth us and defame our name because they did a shit job on our pets?? DON'T EVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! Go see Suzanne at Creekside Animal Hospital instead. more

I have been taking my Boxer to Abraxas for over 5 years and wouldn't take her anywhere else! They are absolutely wonderful! They are always so happy to see her and the entire staff is great! We board her for up to 14 days sometimes and they always have a report on how she was and who she played with and she is always well groomed when we pick her up. By far the best pet resort out there! more

Abraxas groomers are fantastic! I have always been pleased with how my dogs look and how they are treated. The ladies who groom are very good with the dogs and listen to concerns I have about bringing in an older dog. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a dog groomer to try Abraxas! more

I had a great experience at Abraxsas Pet Resort. My dogs were very well taken care of. The place is kept very clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs there. I often times will call and check on my dogs while I'm gone. They are always happy to give me an update on how they are doing. I would definitely recommend Abraxsas Pet Resort to anyone. more

Abraxas is FANTASTIC. My girls (my dogs) had such a great time. It is good to know and see how well the people their at Abraxas treat your animals. I must say I don't worry about leaving my girls because I know they will be well taken care of. They really truly care and that is so important. Not only that, but the kennels are clean, they have a place to run, and they do a great job in the groomery. \r \r The best thing I can say - WE LOVE ABRAXAS PET RESORT. more

My aunt takes her dog here and I've been with her on multiple occasions. They have some of the kindest people working there and the overall atmosphere is happy and loving. They have helped my aunt train and take care of her dog. He has had some health issues and they have always been conscientious of that and helped in every way possible. Not only do they take amazing care of the animals, they also care about their owners also. Their prices are amazing for the care they give. I would recommend abraxas to anyone. I love it. more

My dogs have been going to Abraxas for years for their grooming and to have their nails clipped. WIth other groomers they never wanted to go in the door but at Abraxas they go right up the stairs and in the door. This tells me that they trust the groomers and are very comfortable with them and they look great when they come out. Pat and Kim truley love what they do and are exceptional at it . I would never take my animals anywhere else. more

I love this place:)!! It has truly saved myself and my dog Chuckie. He goes there almost everyday for daycare at a price of only $10. Chuckie is a border collie mix with so much energy and has a place to use up all that energy while I'm at work. I have been taking him there for over two years and I love the staff. They truly love him, take the upmost care of him and I consider them all friends, not just business acquaintances. He also gets his grooming done there and they do a fantastic job. I highly recommend this business for all your pet needs. more

The best of care for many years 8/31/2010

Abraxas has been my go-to pet care resort for more than 15 years and will continue to be for many more. The staff is wonderful, the groomers the best, and the trainer one of the best in the USA. So why go anywhere else? You don't need to! more

The best groomers in SLC area! 10/7/2009

Having had my 2 year old Yorkie cut and groomed at various pet groomers, I have never really been happy with the way it had been done. That is until I decided to make an appointment at Abraxas. Both my husband and I were highly delighted with the results. Needless to say we have been regular customers since. I would not hesitate to recommend Abraxas in West Jordan to any perspective pet owner who wants 1st Class service for their pet especially with Kim, as all work is carried out to a highly professional standard Pros: Kim is very kind. Great place for boarding and training! 9/29/2009

The staff at Abraxas are so good with the bullterriers. They treat them just like they were family, well they almost are with as much as we travel. We are always greeted with friendly smiles and delighted with the condition of our pets! We wouldn't go anywhere else! Pros: Best boarding kennel in Utah, my Mini BullTerriers love it! I'm honestly shocked that anybody would have anything negative to say about Abraxas! We take our Yorkie and Shih-tzu to Abaraxas at least twice a year to be groomed and while I haven't boarded them, I would certainly trust them as they care just as much for my dogs as I do! We've taken pets to other groomers and had horrible cuts, depressed dogs and even cuts and razor burn as a result. We've always had our pets returned to us as cute as can be (despite our fireball shih-tzu being a handful!) and very happy. I wouldn't trust anybody else with my little dogs! Pros: Happy dogs! Cons: None! more

Horrible Experience - My Small Dog was Shivering When I Picked Him Up 12/31/2008

This was the second time I boarded my dog at this kennel and when I picked him up he was shivering. The first time I boarded him here was in mid October when I guess the weather was warm enough that he wouldn't get ill. I have a small poodle and was told by staff that small dogs would be kept inside. While the small dogs are kept "inside" it is not temperature controlled or put at a very cold temperature. My dog now has a serious ear infection and was very traumatized and whined for thirty minutes after we picked him up. I was extremely disappointed with the service and poor care this time around. I will not take my dog back. Cons: "Indoor" kennel not temperature-controlled, dogs not given enough food and water more
