Abigal's was around the corner on Greenwich Street from our hotel so parking was not an issue. From the outside handpainted sign we knew this was going to be a cool place to eat. We weren't disappointed. It reminded me of Sarabeth's Kitchen in NYC, but more intimate and local feeling. Pros: local flavor, the best, freshest food. Cons: Can't think of one more

Abigail's is the type of place I so wish we had in my neighborhood (South Beach), but fortunately my gym is right around the corner to there so I stop in at least a few times a week to pick up post-workout treats (and no doubt, undo some of the good I did working out. Sigh.). The service is friendly, and everything I've had there has been homestyle, comfort food great. The pecan rolls, pineapple bran muffins, eclairs and raspberry pastries are DELISH to die for, so fresh and tasty. My friend and I also had lunch there a few times, and the prices are so reasonable we were delighted! French fries (again, undo-ing any good I've done) were fresh, club sandwich was huge, cobb salad and more were all great. (Compare that with Houston's, where you can basically get the same things at 2x the cost.) They also have a nice set-up so you can eat outside and bring Fido, too. We were in the neighborhood for the Union Street Festival and stopped here for breakfast. It was quiet, small and just a great place to meet with friends where you can ACTUALLY hear each other talk! The breakfast specials for the day were omelet or Eggs Benedict which was very good, but someone in the group complained about not enough hollandaise sauce. I thought it was good the eggs/muffins were not drenched w/the sauce like so many other places. The buckwheat smoked salmon + goat cheese crepe was served quartered. The crepe was overwhelmed by too much of the goat cheese. The pecan French toast looked good. All our breakfast dishes were served with fruit (strawberries + blueberries) and chunks of crispy, chopped potatoes. The jasmine green tea bag were these mesh tea filled pyramid bags with a cute leaf for a hook. All teas/coffees were served in these wonderfully huge cups. Wished we were there later to sample the desserts, they looked so inviting in the display case. The waitress was very nice but the kitchen can be slow, my crepe came out very late when the rest of the group were 1/2 way thru their meal. Prices are reasonable compared to other places in the neighborhood, 6 breakfasts with beverage came to approx $70. Very few tables and quaint, but the food is amazing. Great place for Sunday Brunch, quiet dinner date or dessert with coffee/tea. I recommend it to everybody. Perfect for 2-4 people, if more call them first. This is a locals place, let's keep it that way. The menu changes almost daily, so you never know what to get besides quality. What a lovely cafe - a group of co-workers and I ate here for a mid-week lunch outing and were so taken with this place. Were we able to sip an afternoon Pinot, it would have been just like a trip to Paris over our lunch break. From the delicious food, to the warm atmosphere (and the tempting dessert case) this cafe is just what the area needed...I'll be back many times over. Stumbled upon a ""Grand Opening"" sign on a little nook in my neighborhood. Decided to stop in and check it out for lunch. You feel immediately transformed to a petite French cafe on the left bank. From the music, to the floral arrangements, to the B&W french photographs on the walls. And then comes the food.......... absolute heaven!!!!
