He made an Appt quickly after I called, diagnosed the problem right off the bay and it was correct, fixed it the first time, was fair and honest, and pleasant to be around. Use Abel's... Larry took 2 minutes looking at our subzero built-in refrigerator and told me exactly what was wrong. He needed a part and came back next day and it was running. He fixed our gas cooktop as well after our home warranty company tried two times without success. I would highly recommend this company they are AWESOME. more

We returned from vacation to find our refrigerator Not cooling. We removed all the food expecting to have to replace it. I called Abel's repair service for confirmation that it needed to be replaced on Monday afternoon. The repairman Larry came at 7pm & gave a reasonable estimate & had it repaired in a timely manner. He was very knowledgeable & Professional. We are very happy that it could be fixed. I would recommend Abel's repair service to all. Thanks Larry!! more

At about 5 PM on 8/7/2014 I noticed that the food in my freezer was getting soft and the ice maker had stopped making ice. The side of the refrigerator was very hot. I thought how am I going to find someone on a Friday evening at 5:30 PM to come even to look at it let alone fix it. I got on Angie's List look for a repair shop. The first one I looked at closed at 5 PM. The second on was Abel Appliance Repair and they were open until 6 PM. I called the number and Larry answered the call, he was on a service call and said he would get back to me. At around 6:30 Larry call me back and I explained what was going on with the refrigerator and he asked where I live and I told him. He said he would be here in 10 minutes. He arrived and found that the problem was the motor that runs a fan to keep the parts cool was not working. He changed the motor out and put everything back, cleaned up and was done in about 30 minutes. I'm thankful that Larry was willing to work late and solve my problem. He has my highest recommendation!! more

Larry Garner came out to replace an electrical cord for one of my refrigerators, which he did at a very fair price. I mentioned that I had an Ice Maker that I bought new 10 years ago and it had NEVER worked. I had had multiple other service people try to fix it but no one ever did. I gave up about 6 years ago and the machine sat idle. Larry said he would guarantee he could fix it. I was very skeptical, but for some reason, agreed to have him attempt to fix it. He replaced a pump and charged me for it which I agreed to. He told me to see if that worked but to call him if it did not. Of course, it did not. I called him and he rearranged his schedule and came over right away. He replaced a temperature sensor this time but told me he would not charge me because he assured me he could fix it. Well, that fixed it. For the first time in years, we now have a working ice machine when I thought it was just a write off. Thank you Larry. You did what you said you would do, you backed up your work, you came out promptly and you fixed something that no one else could do. He definitely will be the only one I call for any other appliance repair in the future. more

Larry is wonderful, he is very knowledgeable, professional, and his pricing is fair. He was on time and went over and above what any other company would have done. He took my call for a repair on a Sunday and asked if I needed it fixed that day, I said no. Larry said I will call you tomorrow and set up a time. Well, I was on a call with a physicians office and could not switch the phone over. Larry tried a couple of times while I was on this call. Approximately 1pm on Monday, Larry was at my door, asking if I still needed my refrigerator fixed... NOW that is excellent customer service. more

Abel Appliance has done repairs for us on more than one occasion and they have always done good work with no surprises. I will call them next time I need appliance work done. more
