Just finished at this place, the photos used in their advertising are from other bars. The location itself is pretty much a dump. The class was helpful, none of the ""instructors"" know each other which I find odd. All I can say is dont expect much. From other bartenders I have spoke with they have a reputation in the restaurant industry as being shady, thus getting a certificate from them is a help, but certainly doesn't equate to a job. The actual bar is constructed of 2X4s and plywood. Our instructor hardly even filled the bottles with the necessary colored water. Just be wary. more

SUCH A FUN EXPERIENCE!! 4/18/2012

This class was everything I imagined it would be! I got to get behind their bar and practice just as if I was already in a real bar. The instructor was very informative and helpful. recommend this to anyone of any age! more

GREAT class, ABC bartending school 3/8/2012

I just finished the class at ABC on Monroe rd. and was VERY SATISFIED. All the Instructors and staff were very easy to work with. The class was informative and was easy to learn. I learned alot in the two weeks. Im glad i chose ABC and would highly recomend over any othe school. Thanks ABC more

Great class 10/12/2011

ABC Bartending School was a great experience for me. I enjoyed the whole bar set up for a classroom, and the instructors were amazing. The text book was very helpful as well. I was able to make as many notes as I needed to help me remember certain things and certain drinks. The hands on training really helped me improve and understand everything even more, as well. I loved the class, and every time I needed help I was assisted. I highly recommend this program. The class is also affordable. After I was finished with the class, the job placement program was very helpful. They helped me search through a variety of places and I found a job in less than a week! Thanks Dale more

Great Instructors 10/8/2011

The set up is great and the instructors are wonderful. I learned a good bit of drink recipes within the course. I took the weekend class and was able to pass the certification test with confidence and fast. Great School. more

ABC Bartending School 10/7/2011

Really good class. I took the school in the evenings and got certified. Had a good time with other students, Dale helped us alot. I liked the hand on experience and real bar setting. Learned more than i thought i would. more

Great Experience 10/7/2011

I attended Abc bartending school on Monroe rd three weeks ago and was really impressed. I learned a lot from Dale, and Amanda. I didnt think i was bartender material, but Abc proved me wrong with the hands on training. They also helped me obtain a New bartending job. Glad i took the course. Would reccomend to anyone considering bartending. Thanks ABC. more

Short Explanation: There are fraudulent 5-star reviews for this company... so buyer beware. I don't know about you guys, but if a company has the indecency to regular post counterfeit reviews and slander their competition (see below for the evidence I uncovered), then how can I trust them to treat me as a customer? I was seriously going to purchase a course from them, but have decided against it based on what I found. I'm truly appalled and disappointed. :( more

Good Bartending Class 10/27/2010

I attended the Abc Bartending school, and enjoyed learning the drinks. Everyone in my class were very nice and friendly, had a good time in class. Very good teachers. They worked with my schedule, and got me certified in three weeks. Thanks abc more

Great class, learned more than i thought i would. I put off going to bartending school for a long time, but am glad i went to abc. Would recomend class. I am a non drinker and was afraid it would be hard to learn, but the instructors made it easy. more

I just graduated from the Charlotte abc school, and im very glad i decided to attend. Great experience for me, and the other students in my class. I took the weekend class on Saturdays, and they have a job lined up for me at lake norman! Thanks to the instructor, london and ABC. more

Great course. Highly recommended 10/11/2010

ABC really is all hands on training. I thought the first day when i walked in that I would be sitting in a classroom with desks. I was mistaken. I was amazed when I walked in and the classrom is set up just like a real bar! This would probably be the most fun I've ever had in school! Not only did I learn everything there is to know about bartending, but I had a ton of fun doing it! The instructor was the nicest guy and really had a great personality which made the class enjoyable from the get go. It really is all hands on training. As I made the drinks and practiced I learned and memorized everything without even realizing it. Within a week and a half after I tested, and graduated, I had a job that they had presented to me on their job placement. Thanks ABC! You guys really helped me out! more

What a great experience! 5/25/2010

If this is considered school, then I LOVE school. This was so much fun, and I am now in the working world as a bartender not even a week after I have graduated. It was really set up like a real bar, and this was the funnest thing I have ever done. The two instructors were great and I learned everything there is to know about bartending! Also, managment was so helpful with job placement! Thanks ABC! Pros: Real bar setup, Good instructors! Cons: NONE! more

SCAM...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! 4/19/2010

Paid $300 for nothing...the instructor was always late, intoxicated, and even joked about being stopped by the police on her way to class. Completely not a profesional learning environment. Filed a small claims suit against the owner but she dodged the sherrif's many attempts to serve her the papers. The court clerk informed me there were several other claims filed against the owner but the Sherrif was never able to locate her. Also learned the ""job placement"" was simply a voicemail account...this is not real job placement. Cons: This is not a legit bartending school more

Very good experience 3/31/2010

I went to abc two weeks ago in the weekend class, and was very impressed on how they teach. i learned alot, the class was fun and informative. Alot to learn in a short time, but Jennifer and Chris made it seem easy. IM OFF TO MY NEW CAREER IN BARTENDING. Pros: good class, nice instructors, reasonable prices more

Fun AND Educational!!! 3/1/2010

i loved this class. . . i'm a single mother and ABC offered day, evening, and saturday classes. . . so i was able to work my schooling into my hectic schedule. . . jennifer was a great instructer who taught me alot. . . the hands on experience of learning and mixing drinks in a real bar atmosphere was the best!!!. . . i passed my exam and am confident that i will make a great bartender. . . the job placement website is also a great resource. . . more

look at that star rating 2/11/2010

Just notice that most of the reviews are either 5 or 1. That could mean that the class was inconsistent. Unfortunately, I think I know the answer. The low reviews are the real ones, the 5 star are ones that the instructor asked the students to give a good review to balance off the companies stats (as I heard Jennifer ask a few to do.) Listen to the low ones, this class was an absolute joke, the instruction, the 'book', the unmonitored 'lab time'. Just go buy a bartenders book for $25 and start barbacking where you can. Don't give these people your money. See reviewer - Upset Student - for an honest review. Pros: certificate Cons: everything else more
