I used this company for a move to a temporary location while we build a house. Granted, we've not moved a lot but this was by far the worst moving experience ever! Damaged both ...

Took the stress out of moving! 5/26/2014

I had to move my office , and the new building required specific insurance certificates from the moving company. Another company was going to charge me $200 more for the insurance. Christina had it figured out in no time. She went the extra mile! The guys who moved me were great! Professional and friendly . I highly recommend Aardvark moving company if you need to move! more

Aardvark Moving was good. They were a couple of hours late, but I've used them before so I'm a little more forgiving. Two of the workers were good, but one was not so good. He reassembled my bed incorrectly and there were pieces missing from it. Apart from that, it was good. It was a hard move. They were quick and did a good job. more

Excellent Customer Service 4/14/2014

I was given a fair price, told of the coupon available for $75.00 off. The representative dropped boxes, tape, and paper that he had extra. The crew arrived promptly, and had me loaded and unloaded in my new home in an hour and a half. They were professional, curteous, and friendly. I will use this company for any future moves and highly recommend them to all of my friends, family, and co-workers. more

My experience in working with Aardvark Moving Co. has left me with a very positive experience. It was a really good job done by them, they showed up on time and did everything in a quick and timely manner. Nothing was broken or damaged, the movers came looking clean and in uniform, which was also impressive. Overall they made a great impression upon me and I am a very satisfied customer of theirs. Incredible moving experience 12/4/2013

Aardvark Moving did a really good job. I sold and got rid of some things so they adjusted and took off those items which lowered the price. There were three guys who loaded everything very quickly and they were nice and courteous. I had to do two drop offs of some of the items and they were very timely. We started at 8:15 in the morning to about 1:15 in the afternoon. The price ended up being what they quoted me. more

Cannot recommend this company due to poor, extremely poor customer service 12/1/2013

What should have been a simple move, turned out to be a nightmare, due in large part to the general manager Josh Gordon. The only upside was an employee Christina C. (a customer service representative) who was extremely empathetic, and worked hard to resolve our issues. Our move did not go well. Movers did show up on time, but were far from professional. My wife had to supervise the move as I was not able to be present. When she started having issues with the movers, she called Aardvark, and was unable to reach the manager in charge. She left several messages to return her call, and all of this during the move (already a stressful event). No returned call from management. Finally she called me and the frustration/stress was evident in her voice. I was able to reach Josh, and being frustrated as well, I attempted to relate the seriousness of the situation (it was by then late in the day) and I was met with a defensive (rather than a "how can I make this right attitude") and a condescending attitude from Mr. Gordon. Shortly into our conversation, he hung up on me. Apparently he felt he wasn't being listened to. Understand at this point I was upset, but did not become verbally abusive (i.e, name calling, cursing, or threatening). Again, I was upset, but not irate, out of control, or ugly in my language. I then called him back, and he did answer. At no point did he apologize for the actions of his employees, he constantly referred to the contract, and said basically there was nothing he could do until the following day. This from a "general manager". While it may have been "physically" impossible for him to take action at the moment of my call (due to the lateness of the day) I got the impression that he wasn't really interested in resolving anything now that the move (in his eyes) had been completed. I asked why he hadn't returned my wife's phone call, to which he basically replied he didn't feel it was necessary. I did not feel my request was unreasonable...i.,e., having the movers do their job as per the contract. The specifics I won't get into here. Lets just say Josh felt the movers had done their job, and I and my wife did not. (No we were not asking for extra services or "freebies", just what we paid for). I take serious issue with Mr. Gordon's customer service skills and his complete lack of empathy for our situation. Perhaps he is used to being taking advantage of by other clients, I don't know. All I can say is I filed a complaint with BBB, and am pursuing other avenues as well. The only upside, was a conversation I had about a month later with Christina C. (the customer service rep). I waited that long so that I would be sure not be "emotional". She was very helpful, did apologize, and informed me that the employees who facilitated our move had been "let go". She indicated that my complaint was not the first against the former employees. Had Mr. Gordon, immediately reassured us that he would do everything within his power to remedy the situation, and MOST importantly returned the phone call to my wife, as requested by my wife, and later that day by myself, it would have gone a long way in expressing "good will" and a respect for us as customers. As it ultimately turned out, his behavior did just the opposite. more

Complete lack of professionalism 7/16/2013

Absolute complete waste of money. Complete lack of respect for our belongings and family members. Rude and discreptful movers. 1 even refused to work. To top it all off they expect a tip. Multiple broken items, scuffs on furniture and to add to it they put a hole in the wall and blamed it on the dresser being heavy. No, really you are movers! Needless to say when we had to use movers again a week later we went with 2 men and a truck. more

NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!! 7/2/2013

The only complaint that I have with this company is not fixing the damage done to my wall. One of the workers was moving fast and not paying any attention to what he was doing and ran right into the wall with a huge bedroom headboard. I was told if I filed a loss/damage claim that the company would gladly pay for the damage. That was untrue. The move was a month and a half ago and I'm still trying to get a hold of someone to fix the damage. I have called and called leaving numerours messages and emails. Due to their lack of response and not being a company of their word I would never use or recommend this company to anyone!!!! more

Don't trust this company! They took advantage of my disability to do an inferior job. They ignore complaints. Complaints to the BBB, Angie's List, Attorney General, and the Federal Government are ignored or responded to with untruths. They give their customers free boxes of excellent quality. The free boxes are the only good thing they did for me. more

I am VERY pleased with the service that I received from Aardvark! This was my first time using a moving service and I will call them for all my future moves. I moved a small one bedroom apartment across town (Mission to Independence). They called at 12:35 that they were on their way and the truck was loaded and on the road at 1:30! I especially loved that they don't charge by the hour...why would I want to pay someone to walk slow. These guys were VERY quick. We had a great time, joking around and they were very polite! Their prices beat all the other "hourly" moving companies in town by a couple hundred $. more

Hello! Must say how trilled I am to recommend these guys! My wife and I decided to move with our five children to a big suburb house. But, when you have five kids, it isn't such an easy job. So, we decided for a moving company. Google has had plenty of solutions for us when we typed moving New York City", referring near moving companies. But, then my friend told us about a moving company NY movers. They had everything I wanted. Low prices, excellent time schedule and competence. Two rooms were just full with toys and similar child stuff, and they helped us out to sort things and donate the rest. I must say, a single screw was where it should be. No braking or defilementing anything, even they were careful with our plants. What to say? These men done some kickass job! Highly professional attitude, enough manpower and speed is what makes them different from other similar companies. I must say that the company NY movers is one of the best in the state and I was glad to have had the chance to work with them. I think everyone would make a great choice to hire them. more

Damage-Free is a load of crap. I hired them to move my belongs from my apartment to a house I was renting. The previous tenant hadn't moved out yet, but agreed that I could move my things in a day early. The movers ripped open the previous tenant's exercise ball, and Christine told me she would send me a damage claim form and that a print out of the cost of a replacement or a receipt for the purchase of a replacement would be sufficient documentation, along with a picture of the damage. I took pictures and bought the new tenant a new ball from Walmart for $20. Chrstine never sent the damage form, despite me sending two additional emails asking her to do so. When I called to speak with her, I was told that I needed to send in a repair estimate - a repair estimate for an exercise ball? Are you kidding me? When I reminded her that she told me I could give them a receipt or printout of the cost of a replacement, she said, ""Ok. But how much does it weigh? If it's less than 5 pounds, the most the insurance will pay is $3. We can give the the $3 now if you want to come get it. That's the contract you signed."" So you want me to drive to Blue Springs, from KCMO, to pick up $3, when YOU ALL ARE THE ONES THAT DID THE DAMAGE AND OWE ME $20?? I don't think so. Stay away from these people. They are shady. I wouldn't recommend them. Put your money toward a reputable company that will pay for whatever damage THEY CAUSE. more

Made my move a million times easier!!!! 2/11/2013

Got an online quote, no hassles, no hidden charges, and booking my move was simple! Movers showed up right on time and were done with my move in an hour and a half! They provided wardrobes to move all my.clothes for free which was awesome and shrink wrapped everything as well. Movers were friendly and professional and I would recommend them to anyone. Call and ask for Christina to book your move!!!! :) more
