An enjoyable and clean environment. The technicians are polite, professional, and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me with out being condescending. I really appreciate everything. Thanks. more

always great! 11/17/2011

Seems like customer service is their number one goal. Very thorough and informative every time I come here. I always recommend! more

great shop 11/14/2011

I needed a full service oil change and the guys were SUPER friendly. A lot of places don't stress customer service but it's clear that service is important to these guys. more

great shop 11/7/2011

These guys are spectacular! I wouldn't define them with any other word. Thankful that Sam is always so helpful and friendly. more

Kind and patient 10/31/2011

I just wanted to take a few moments to let everyone know how happy we were with the service we received at this Aamco location. Each person we spoke with was polite and patient. Our Jeep was badly injured during an un-permitted off road trip. We in shock. Really. George, with his kindness and sense of humor really put us at ease. We had the Jeep towed over and George quickly called and let us know the extent of the damage. Wonderful team of people to do business with. Each time we arrived at the shop we were greeted with kind, courteous and most all all, patient people. more

Above and beyond 10/20/2011

I highly recommend AAMCO Transmissions. John and Enrique were both very helpful when I brought my car into their shop for a transmission rebuild. John kept in contact with me to explain what repairs were required and the cost of the different options available. He called for approval before performing any repairs. Both John and Enrique were very pleasant with which to do business. Enrique took the time to take me back home to Sunland once I had my car towed into their shop. He even picked me up from my house in Sunland that same day and took me to the Burbank airport so I would not have to pay for a taxi. Enrique then brought my car to the airport on Monday so I would not have to find a way a of getting to their shop. I was then able to drive my car for a few days to confirm all was well before paying my bill. I have never experienced that above and beyond service from another auto repair shop. They made the trying ordeal of having a transmission rebuilt a pleasant experience. more

I just wanted to drop a note to personally thank you for your time and perseverance. I really appreciate the fact that you were willing to take the time to explain to me the things I didn't understand. I felt that you were being honest and that you were there to help in any way you could. I'll certainly refer you and your business without hesitation. more

Great work! 10/5/2011

In response to the work I have had done in your shop I feel I must give credit where it is due. Your selection and reassignment of staff has been a success. Your diagnostician is a God-send and has never failed in his abilities to solve a problem. You have eliminated any attitude within the ranks and have replaced it with employees that one wishes to come back and deal with all the while feeling confident in their abilities. Keep up the good work! more

Great Service 10/3/2011

Great timely service. I'm always taken care of at this Aamco. My jeep has over 250,000 miles on it, and needs constant maintenance. I'm the original owner of this vehicle, I'm very familiar with is, and can practically predict what is going to go down next. I completely trust Enrique, Sam, and the others. They have allowed me to make payments on the more expensive repairs, and have given me a lift home or to work when I've had to leave it over night. Heck, they've even done some minor repair for free. I feel like a valued customer. more

Very Reasonable 9/27/2011

I took my '87 Supra to these guys when my transmission started crapping out. I was hesitant about going to a place that's advertised, but ended up paying $1900 for a tranny rebuild, which seemed reasonable to me. Now it's shifting smoother then ever. more

GREAT GUYS ! ! ! ! 7/29/2008

I had my VW Jetta looked at by the dealer and other shops. They all told me I needed a new transmission. After taking it to AAMCO in Glendale for a 4th opinion, I was told I didnt need a transmission at all. They took the time and explained how a transmission works and that many times they didnt need to remove the transmission to fix it. Pros: Very nice guys more

Extremely DISAPPOINTING! 4/7/2008

I strongly not recommend the Aamco shop in Glendale, CA. The service there was extremely atrocious. I took my vehicle for a transmission check. I was informed by Enrique (the owner at the time) would call me or one of his employees. The day had gone by and I never received the call. So, I called and one of the employees told me that the transmission had to be re-built and I said, okay. Do what you have to do. I left my vehicle at the shop for service for about one week. After I picked up my vehicle, the transmission made a very loud noise and was constantly shaking. And the worse part was that when I parked my vehicle on my driveway, there was a huge puddle of transmission fluid. I notified the mechanic at Aamco and he told me that it was normal to leak fluid. I was like, what? I was told to take my vehicle for a final checkup the Friday after Thanksgiving day. I called the owner twice to make sure that the shop was going to be open and both times he assured me that yes, it was going to be open for business. I showed up at about 8:00 AM. I waited for about one hour and nobody showed up. I called the 800 number to notify Aamco headquarters about the poor service I received from the people at that shop. No apology was ever made by the owner or anyone. When I finally had the my vehicle's transmission checked for a final time, there were some lose parts under the hood (fan duct and air filter cover). That goes to show how extremely unprofessional the employees there are. I am glad I have never done business with them ever again. Cons: Too many to list; service is atrocious, poor communication, poor labor, ridiculously expensive more

Tentatively Recommended 5/4/2005

The estimate from VW for a new transmission was $2800, without a clutch. Jim at Aamco gave us a quote for 20% less and payed for the tow from VW. He was able to negotiate for a rebuilt transmission for $300 less than his iniitial quote which paid for the new clutch that I ended up needing. He took pictures of everything and e-mailed them to me. I felt that he was very honest and working for both our best interests. The only problems were that he took 3 days longer than he had initially quoted and he didn't reattach the grounding wire from my starter so I was left stranded on the I-5 the next day--but the problem was easily fixed by the local mechanic in Lost Hills. Overall for a rebuilt transmission and new clutch for a 98 VW jetta I spent $2650. Substantial savings over the dealership. Pros: Honest, Friendly, Good prices Cons: Slow, Sloppy mistake more
