Complete CON-ARTISTS. - Insulting - UNPROFESSIONAL I used AQB in Santa Ynez and they are a bunch of con artists. The guys who came out said we were low on Freon and told us this after he had already added 4 pounds and charged us 240 for 4 pounds. Then he went on to tell us that the AC unit may only work a day or two with the added Freon. He said we need a new unit and the $240 we paid him could go towards a new $4000 unit. \r It did not even work a day an hour or anything - they also knew we were going out of town and thought they would pull a fast one over our eyes. Our friend house-sat and told us nothing worked. This was on a Friday. \r \r I called to complain the next day - while out of town - and they sent out a second guy - whom only insulted me when I spoke to him on the phone - he told me I was an idiot and that the reason they added freon is PROBABLY because I told the last repair guy I did not want to replace the unit. I never told the first repair team anything. I was insulted because he kept telling me I was the one who was wrong. I immediately had my house sitter send him off of my property. \r \r We called another company and they came out and said our filters were clogged on the unit outside - nothing else was wrong - he fixed it, charged us less - said we were never leaking anything and although he cannot say anything bad about other companies told us that the last company was trying to make a quick buck and had conned us. He also told me that nothing was damaged like AQB had tried to tell me. He said our unit is older but is not ready for replacement - he made sure also that the unit was bringing in cool air - another thing AQB failed to do.\r \r I called AQB and said I would not pay for the $240 because nothing was leaking and they lied - they also charged me double what it costs - the manager said he would not cash the check and would not even charge me the service charge because I was unhappy. I put a stop payment with my bank because I did not believe them - the very next day they tried to cash the check. They are a horrible - horrible company and all they have are con artists and thieves that work there. Very unprofessional - WARNING STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. more

they come t our house yesterday in the weekend and fix our system in 20 min charge us 157$but the system work great thank you much more

When the house was built, the developer put in an air conditioning system that worked OK for the first 6 years we lived there, but then one day it just stopped working. We heard really good things about AQB Heating and Cooling from a couple neighbors who used them for their homes, so had them come over for an estimate. I have to say that Dmitri was the most knowledgeable and ethical home contractor I've ever dealt with, really taking the time to analyze our needs, and not trying to push something on us. There prices were fair and the system is great. I would not hesitate recommending them to my neighbors and friends. more

Our furnace quit working on Saturday night! We first called AQB Air who said they would have a service tech call us right back. An hour and a half later--the guy finally called. He didn't think he had the parts and honestly didn't really seem like he wanted the service call. Since we used AQB Heating and Air Conditioning in the past--we decided to call. Nate called us back within minutes, had the parts and had us back in business quickly! He was friendly, professional and made recommendations to us for the future. AQB will be our FIRST call in the future! Great Job AQB!! more

I am in the National Do Not Call Registry, yet AQB continues to call me. Please, please, please. STOP. I am a renter in an apartment building for crying out loud. The landlord and property managers deal with the air conditioner and cooling issues. You are wasting your time by continuing to call me, and you are wasting mine. more

It is obvious that Air Quality and Beyond has a very positive philosophy about who they hire, how they treat their employees and how they want them to treat their customers. I rarely find a company with so many polite and congenial people. Everyone I have worked with or talked to has been so nice. Everyone Ive been in touch with at Air Quality and Beyond has been exceptionally positive, polite and considerate. It makes everything so much easier to accomplish when you know you can count on the civility of the people you?re dealing with. There are always going to be concerns, adjustments that need to be made, and problems to be solved. I feel that I can count on whoever answers the phone at Air Quality and Beyond, or shows up at my door to be a polite and decent person, as well as competent. I know they are working toward my complete satisfaction with the job they are doing. It is so much easier to do business with a company that ensures that their workers treat their customers well. I will have no problem recommending Air Quality and Beyond to my friends. more

I called AQB Heating and Cooling for an annual inspection of our furnace. They were very quick to schedule the appointment and were prompt when they said they would arrive. Technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was checking, and why he was checking it. He cleaned everything, including a few items that I was not aware even existed on the furnace. I asked how everything looked and he showed me all of the test levels and said that everything is in great working order. I felt that they were very honest and did not try to sell anything that I did not need. They are also going to be servicing our AC unit this Spring. I would recommend AQB to anyone needing assistance with their Heating/Cooling needs! more

Called Sunday evening about clogged kitchen sink and I was told someone would be at my apartment between 8:30-9:15am. At 8:45am plumber arrived, he took a look at the problem and gave me a fair price before he started the job. He took care of the problem quickly & efficiently. And on top of everything he was such a nice guy! I will always call these guys for any future problem! Air Quality & Beyond Inc - THE BEST!!! more

They cold called me and I am on the Do Not Call List. And no, I have never done business with them before so they can't use that excuse. more

My water heater went off on Saturday. The first appliance repair company I called told me I had to wait till Monday for tech to come and give me an estimate and then also wait a day or two for the installation of a new one! I called air quality and got my water heater installed the same day! This is the kind of service that makes you one satisfied customer! more

After luring my elderly mother in with a great offer of service for $45, repairman stated That after looking at her system, the work needed would cost $875. Being deaf and senile she fell for it, but when I (her daughter) objected suddenly the repair costs dropped to $275. All this was service for a furnace that had been completely rebuilt/replaced less than 6 months earlier. My senile mother had forgotten that she had a virtually ""new"" system. The work recommended amounted to replacement filters and cleaning of the ducts....not much for $875. To their credit, AQB refunded the $275. my mother actually paid them, and they were most apologetic. I asked them to remove Mom's number from their list, but the kicker is that now I am getting daily phone calls from their reps asking if I would like to sign up for a $45 furnace service!! They won't take me off their calling list!! more

I have been a customer of AQB Heating & Cooling for many years, I think the first time was just from the Yellow Pages, but ever since I have exclusively used them for all my air conditioning and heating needs. I find their technicians very knowledgeable, pleasant and polite. They are reliable and show up for all appointments promptly and on time. Their prices are very competitive, especially for the high quality of work they do. They are always available for any emergency that might occur. A few years ago I had them replace my water heater. Since then I have them do a checkup every year. Recently two technicians arrived for my annual checkup. One of them even did some minor adjustments on my kitchen faucet at no extra charge. He drained my water heater efficiently. The other technician spent over an hour with my gas heater. He changed some of the settings to make it run more efficiently. more

My furnace died on Christmas Eve. I was concerned that we would not have heat over the holidays, particularly on Christmas Day when we were having 25 people over for dinner. Cabrillo was at my house within a couple hours of my call. The representative was very friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem within half an hour and after replacing the electronics board my furnace was working again. I particularly appreciated the representative letting me watch him work while explaining what he was doing so I could learn about furnace maintenance. more
