The alarm Trips off very frequently and the company never informs us. This is just very bad for the customers and my investment is wasted!

Came back the next day 12/8/2010

I called up ADT and scheduled a free home security evaluation. The guy from ADT arrived earlier as scheduled. I was interested in having security cameras at home and he gave me a reasonable price for it. The next day, he came back bringing the cameras and he installed it with the home security system. He did a good job and he was telling me and my husband how the system works and stuff. Good guy! more

I?ve been a costumer of ADT Security system for 3 years now even though I encountered minor problems like false alarms, they didn?t let me down. If you are experiencing problems like these, feel free to contact them immediately and based on my experience, the repair service is exceptional! more

I contracted with ADT almost two years ago. Since we very rarely turn on the alarm system, I decided to cancel the service. I spoke to one of their representatives who told me that they require 70% of the remaining contract (a 3 year contract) as a cancellation fee. So to cancel would cost me almost $500 after two years as a customer. Apparently, this is in the contract I signed when it was installed. Shame on me for not reading it. But 70%?? That seems like an unreasonable cost. So I guess I will keep the service and continue to pay for something I do not use. But beware if you are considering ADT. Especially if you have never used a security system before and are not sure it is right for you. more
