ABC replaced a capacitor for our Trane air conditioner and charged us $588!! That's on top of a $99 service call. A capacitor costs around $40 and the repairman spent no more th...

Issues with ABC Plumbing 7/19/2011

Plumbing from Buffalo Grove showed up on time. Tom did a nice job of telling me the options. I selected the tankless w/h. The issue is I ended up The waterheater went out. ABC at the hospital that afternoon and could not sign the paperwork. Tom actually called me at the hosiptal to get authorization on the credit card. He returned the next morning as the water was not hot enough. I had decided to become a preferred customer which cost addition but paid back in a discount. He stated I was too late as I would have had to sign the night before. He could call for a c/c authorization but yet not the plan. This reaks of the airlines, they charge to ship your bag but when the loose it you dont get yout $25 back. I would not use them again more

They were great during several visits to my house. I had an emergency plumbing issue and the tech was very calming and professional. He laid out all of my options and educated me on them. When he was done he took extra time to explain what he did and arranged for follow up service. I was extremely happy with the service – nothing short of outstanding. more

Called these guys to my home for an estimate for leaking toilet ( drops of water seen in the basement) and to fix a faucet in powder room. These guys came up with $330 for fixing this leak and $930 ???? for fixing the new faucet (FYI the faucet cost is only $550). Are they kidding me. They have no inhibition to collect $59 for coming to my home for the estimate. I googled " how ti fix a leaking toilet" - first thing they suggest is to look at the bolt thats holding the toilet, if its loose then they suggested to tighten it- I did that and the water leak resolved. I went to lowes and got a faucet fixing pipe (cost 5 dollors), got some plmmers putty (cost 2$) - i took 1 hour to fix the faucet ( I'm not a plummer, but it was so eas y to fix it). These guys are just a rip off. Customers beware, pls. more

Excellent job! 4/20/2011

From start to finish, a good experience! Bob came to our house within 2 hours of our call. We needed a new airconditioner and furnace. We had already had estimates, and were not pleased at all with the outright lies we were told by the other companies. (from "you have to buy both a furnace AND air conditioner to get the rebate to "we are giving you a free 550 dollar air cleaner"--it was a Carrier promotion--he wasn't 'giving' us anything) Bob was straightforward, treated both my husband and me with respect , and answered all our questions fully. The service is second to none--prompt, clean, professional and efficient. In addition, he quoted us 175-250 dollars LOWER than the other estimates for a HIGHER SEER unit and better warranties and future service. After a Friday late afternoon estimate, they were able to schedule and installation for Monday. Would have given them 5 stars, but they had to get the permit after they got to my house. Other than that, a very pleasant and moneysaving experience! Will did an excellent job! more

I had a plumbing problem come up in my house and contacted some plumbers from Yellowpages.com. in the end I decided on ABC Plumbing and was very happy with their professional service, the timeliness of their response, and their pricing. Excellent Service 4/5/2011

ABC is always professional, works around my schedule and provides me with great service. The technicians are clean, efficient, and NEVER pushy! I am sure everyone has had a negative service experience with unprofessional companies or shoddy work. ABC is NOT one of those companies. They stand behind the work they perform and do a quality job. I have and will continue to recommend ABC to everyone I know. For those who had a negative experience I would suggest calling as I know they are very big on customer service. They even follow up with me after work is performed to make sure I was satisfied which I always am! more
