ABC Eco Green Costa Mesa Carpet Cleaning, Repair, Water Damage, Tile, Furniture

I would give this company/service no stars if I could. I'll start off with a positive though, when I called to schedule my appointment, whoever answered the phone was very nice and courteous. I know that other reviews on here and other sites say us Living Social people should not complain or judge since we basically are getting a ""steal"" but I disagree. What is the point in spending $54 to have someone come out to ""clean"" your carpets when they do nothing of the sort? It wasn't even mediocre service, it was the poorest of the poor service! They are supposed to pre-vacuum, pre-spot, everything a previous reviewer said. I even went ahead and vacuumed the whole house just to make it easier on the guy coming. He did not pre-vacuum or anything of the sort. I told him the 3 rooms I want done are the living, dining and master which came to 700 sq. ft. I then asked him how much adding the guest bedroom and hallway would be and he said $150! Hmmm, really? So I opted not to have those rooms done and would do it myself. I paid extra for him to deep clean high traffic areas and paid extra for pre-treatment. I do not see one bit of difference in what he did. He came in and went back out 20 min later! As he was packing up I asked him about the spot in the living room and he said it was permanent damage and wouldn't come out (it was coffee). I had paid him $20 extra on top to really try to get that stain out. He scrubbed for maybe 10 sec and came to the conclusion it wasn't coming out . Yesterday I went back and poured oxyclean on it and waited over night and voila, stain gone. Then I went to check the guest room and I forgot about the mound of kitty litter that fell out of the bag when I tried to pick it up. Meant to go back and vacuum it but got side tracked. I will take partial responsibility for this but if I was about to wash someone's carpet and I already agreed to pre-vacuum...I'd either vacuum it up myself or I'd tell the tenant that there is a mound of sand or something on the carpet. He didn't say anything and proceeded to spray and wash right over it!! Anyone who is familiar with clumping kitty litter knows this is a baaaaaad thing to do. Yes, I am kicking myself for not vacuuming it up because I ended up having to pay $400 to have the carpets replaced! Then one would think that the carpet guy would have come to me and mentioned that he didn't realize he was washing over a pile of kitty litter but now that whole area was ruined. No, he just took his stuff and left without even mentioning it to me. That is so unprofessional. He was maybe 18 yrs old, didn't have answers to any of my questions and obviously did a terrible job. I ended up renting a carpet cleaner and redid my whole house and I was shocked how dirty it still was even after supposedly being professionally cleaned. All I have to say is, I don't like the un-professionalism of this company (this guy too had no uniform on). I already wrote to Living Social to warn them about offering this deal again. more

I was a bit skeptical after reading other city search reviews for Carpet Cleaning companies in Costa Mesa, CA on CitySearch. However, the gentleman on the phone was very knowledgable and did the work for the quoted price. Also, the other reviewers seem to have had some kind of ridiculously low daily deal price...but I already know that extras cost more. I paid $150 for deep cleaning, sanitizing, deodorizing for 3 bedrooms, hallway and staircase. They threw in free carpet sealer (teflon?) and made me a happy customer. I appreciate good business. Well, it really is a shame to see suh a divergence of opinions about the same company. I also purchased a ""STEAL"" for the deal of the day...honestly it says a lot about people who pay next to nothing, and then excitedly critique and judge the service professionalism of something they should not even begin to judge. Our technician, Edward was friendly, bright and did in fact wear a Uniform. Our carpets were probably a 6/10 and wound up being a 9.5/10. All of the moldy smell came out, as did the nasty food spills from a few months ago. Edward even told jokes and my children laughed. I paid $54 for the initial cleaning and happily paid an additional $60 for a staircase and hall. Thank Eco Green, I will refer you to friends. more

When you are a mom at home with three kids, it's already uncomfortable to have a service person in your house, but it sure would be nice if this company had a professional appearance. He wore no uniform, not even a logo tshirt or polo. His truck had no identification either. more

I actually had purchased their deal through LivingSocial which was stated to be ""$54 for a steam cleaning of three rooms (up to 700 square feet) and a before and after carpet analysis (a $240 value)"". When we called to make the appointment, we asked if we could actually have them do just one room, and apply the other 2 rooms that were included to our stairs. They said that it would be an additional $40. We thought it was unfortunate that we had to pay more, but sure, it is stairs and takes more work than a room, so we agreed. When the guy arrived, he said ""oh you have a livingsocial coupon"" like we were ""one of those people"", then he argued that we should pay $80 instead of the $40 quoted on the phone for the stairs, even though we asked him to only do one room. He said that was his partner that made the deal and that wasn't really right, but very reluctantly did it for $40 more. He did no pre-vacuuming of the carpets, no pre-spray with ""Power Burst"", no pre Treatment of spots with ""Citrus-Pro"", no pre-Condition with ""UltraPac traffic Clean"", no spraying of ""Kill Odor Antimicrobial"", and no Treatment with ""DuPont Advanced Teflon""... all of these they state to be included in their Deep Cleaning Process. The guy also said that our carpet was not even going to be clean after he left, unless we paid more for a different service. In all the guy was at our house for a total of 20 minutes from time he pulled up to the curb to complete the flight of stairs and the one room, and be packed up and driving away. There was still some hair and other stuff on the carpet when he left. So if you look at the stated value we were supposed to have purchased - $240, and the additional $40 we paid him for a total of $280 for one room and a flight of stairs, that was not really cleaned (and he confirmed it by telling us that it wouldn't be cleaned for what we purchased), there is definitely NOT a value-to-services provided that I would recommend by this company. I will not ever go to them for any future carpet cleaning services. We have had OTHER carpet cleaners come in and clean our carpet that were much more courteous and professional, and took the time to take proper care of our carpets. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for your carpet cleaning needs. more
