This would be my second review followed by the below one!\r These guys are just “Awesome” My friend had an engine problem; it was stopping at every certain period whenever he stops almost every signal. \r He went to Midas and checked, they said they don’t see any problem related to it” and he end up paying 60$ just to verify. Ultimately problem was not solved. \r Later I suggested “AA Transmission doctors” and asked him to check once. He did and they found out it’s just a battery wire problem and fixed for no charge again. These Guys are technically more sound than anyone in and around as far I see in chs. They have my business for lifetime and no doubt I recommend ally my friends here for sure! \r Thanks to Manager Jenifer & Technician for the help. \r \r -----------------------------------------\r These guys are highly skilled , I had a Transmission problem few recommended to Holt Transmission, they asked $1700 to repair, they didnâ??t even know what was the problem, they asked $500 just to open and see the transmission. After couple of transmission shop they failed to understand the problem. But AA transmission Doctors, checked my vehicle and sensed the problem, it was the transmission fluid tube which was not connected properly when I replaced the radiator 3 weeks back. They suggested me to fix that first and observe the diff. I fixed and returned to them they checked and cleared my engine check and filled the fluid in my transmission for free of cost.\r Their professionalism in attending customer in late hrs and the suggestions are awesome. I am a Mt. Plesant Fire Captain and (former mechanic) am absolutely happy with the repairs completed on my tgruck. They went out of their way to open up on a saturday to get my truck in and ready for rewpair on monday. The truck was ready on time and they even saved me 300.00 in parts that werte not needed. I would recommend them for any repair. I will be back for sure. The head service tech at firestone on james island recommended them. more

This is the office mananger at AA Trans Drs, Jennifer. We pride ourselves in quality work , fair customer service and morality. I am pretty certain the ""tip"" below is false and fabricated, as I have no recollection (mind you this allegedly happened only a month ago) of any overhaul parts being bent or anyone having there vehicle towed back to their house unsatisfied. Also a ""novice"" mechanic fixing a problem in 5 minutes that my ASE certified techs (whom have had experience in this business for 20 yrs) ""couldnt fix"" is absolutlely ridiculous. If the below gentleman would like to come and resolve his supposed problem with the work and service he ""had performed here"", I would be more than happy to work with him on a resolution. But because I am certain this occurence never happend, it is doubtful I will see you sir. Have a great day, and thank you to all of our loyal customers and your pleasant reviews! DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON YOUR CAR!!!!!! By far the worst experience I've ever had with a repair shop. I am a novice mechanic at best, and I prefer to do my own work but in this case I did not have the time to do so. I ended up with a bent and broken parts from their repair/ overhaul that wasn't even necessary for the original problem with the car . I eventually did the job myself because the ""mechanic"" couldn't figure out the problem. After towing the car back to my house I figured out what the problem was in 5 mins and proceeded to fix it myself. If there was a negative star rating I would have clicked it! more

These guys couldnt have been any better to me, im stationed down in Georgia and come up to see my parents every weekend, this past trip the rear end in my truck blew the bearings, these guys not only explained to me how and why it happened but assured me that with the new rear end it would be a long time before i had any more problems, bottom line i would deffiniteley recommend these guys to anyone else who needs a great shop that does great work, thanks again to the guys at AA transmission Doctors and MR. this transmission shop does good work and they do stand behind the work they perform. I have had a couple of vehicles serviced by this shop over the years... I have had an issue or two, but they always go out of the way to make sure that I'm taken care of, I have never paid a dime over what the original repair ticket was, even if i had to bring the vehicle back again for a small repair. and i've never been spoken to rudely. Automobiles are machines, machines break eventually, these guys are a great place to have them repaired because they understand that. and they know that they will continue to break... i dont think that the people writing the poor reviews understand that... My rating is very good because thats what the service is. In my opinion no autoshop could ever get a 5 star rating, just by principle, but this is definitely one of the best i've dealt with. more

I have had problems with my Mercury Sable's transmission for the last year. I spent 1700 bucks with these guys back in Sept. of 2010. The car ran great then for some reason I had more problems. I had it towed back to the shop so they could honor the warranty. At first the lady I dealt with would not help me. I called Mr. Hugh Williams the next day. He said he would take care of my car personally. A few days later I picked it up with no charge. The car is running better now than iit has in awhile. I think they even fixed the idle on it too. more

I had some simple Transmission issues that turned into over a year of total BS with these guys. Lying and keeping my car for weeks.....I would drive up there to find my car had not moved for 10+ days. Totally incompetent and crappy work. Scratched up my car, broke other parts and left me with the issues to replace these parts and have them fall off while I am driving. THESE GUYS SUCK! more
