\r DO NOT USE! I had similar problems to other reviews where I did not receive a estimate as promised and was overcharged for work on my snowblower that was not needed. Extremely rude staff and very unprofessional. Trust me you will want to go somewhere else. \r \r Update: Owner called me after seeing this review to insult me while using profanity. Outstanding Shop! 10/28/2010

I have been dealing with A1 for many years now, and I have never had a complaint. Pricing has been more than competitive, quality of work has been outstanding (allowing me to keep my really old, but not able to replace, equipment running like new - and starting on the first pull, even after being in storage!), quick turnaround times, and they have been able to find parts for my old equipment that the larger shops in Grand Rapids, MI, have been unable to locate. The price I have paid has ALWAYS been the price they quoted. I have recommended this shop to ALL of my friends, and have yet to receive a single negative remark.\r \r I don't know what really happened in the cases of the other reviewers, but I recommend A1. more

This place tried to charged me $100 after telling me it would be $40, they only except cash(fishy) and I ended up leaving my mower there because of the price and they have charged me $5 a day for storage, not to mention I went to see if it was there a month later and they had it for sale for $200. more

poor communication 7/1/2010

I went to this repair shop because I had heard good things. I brought my lawnmower in & was told that the repair would be $47. A week later I received a call that the mower was done & the repairs were $73. I did not get a call to tell me that the repairs were more. My husband called to get a copy of the receipt & they refused. The mower is only worth $100 brand new. We also offered to let them keep the mower for a small $20 so that they could resell it. In several calls they escalated to yelling before I did & hung up on my husband several times. Now our mower is there because we will not pay the fees with out explanation. I only know that a car repair shop can not operate this way. they now refuse to take our call. very unprofessional. Make sure to get your estimate in writing - I wish I had! more
