Sneaky and Dishonest 1/18/2011

When we cancelled an order, these unscrupulous merchants tried to tell us the terms of the contrat we signed were not valid, made up a different cancellation policy, and charged us anyway. They lied to the credit card company, and submitted the charge again after we disputed it. Be careful, they'll cheat you if they can! more

Wow Nice dress 11/28/2010

After reading the above reviews regarding Stephanie, I felt the need to relate my experience today. My wife and I went to buy a dress, and chose this place at random. Stephanie was there and was so darn helpful I proceeded to tell her about what I read before going to her store. She helped my wife into 5 dresses and offered her heels and slips as we forgot to bring them. It was a great experience, and I felt dress we bought was a great deal. Furthermore, she was helping another lady in the store who already had a dress on layaway and wanted to put another one on layaway; even though the lady didn't have the required 50% deposit, Stephanie held it for her anyways. That is exemplary customer service in my book. Thanks Stephanie! Paul and Mary more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE -- Not the store it once was 7/18/2010

Our last visit was a disaster! Rude service -- pushy salespeople and now the dresses are bagged and hard to see and try on. Also, the selection is not as good as it was. Pros: There are other places to buy dresses Cons: Rude & pushy service more

Bad Costumer Service! Very Rude!!!! 6/30/2010

Never go here. If you like being talked down to, if you like being treated like you are an inconvenience and you want a staff that is not concerned about your satisfaction AT ALL this place is for you. I visited the place earlier this year and was helped by a very rude sales person named Stephanie. I was looking for my wedding dress and so she picked out some stuff for me to try and showed me to the dressing room and some how I was forgotten. Wedding dresses are not easy to put on and require help. So I went to find Stephanie and she said she would be right with me...I waited even longer. Every dress took about 10 minutes of looking for her and getting zipped up. I kept wanted to tell her if I am an inconvenience can I get someone else to help me? Instead, I figured she must be the only one working the small store. Thinking this was a one time thing, I brought my mom to find her mother of the bride dress later in the year. Again, we were greeted with a rude attitude from Stephanie and was tossed to another sales associate, who was a lot nicer and enjoyable to work with. Since we found a dress for my mom and had an okay time with this associate “Lana”, we decided to get the guys' tuxes from them. Ordering the tuxes we worked with a gentleman. The colors, tux types and prices were decided. It was told to us and written down on the order form that the groomsman tuxes, father of the bride/groom tuxes would be $86.95. It was told to us and written down on the order form that the ring bearer and coin bearer tuxes would be $68.95. TO OUR SURPRISE THE PRICE CHANGED. AND INSTEAD OF PROPERLY LETTING US KNOW ABOUT THE CHANGE, THEY SURPRISED OUR WEDDING PARTY OF THE NEW PRICE AS CALLED IN TO GIVE THEIR MEASUREMENTS. So I went down there to see what was up. Again, I was greeted rudely by Stephanie and was treated like I was an inconvenience. I explained to her the situation and asked why there was a change in price. She explained to me that since my ring bearer was 8 years old that he was considered an adult and that it was industry standard to consider him an adult. I told her that that was not what the gentleman said told us when we ordered and it said right on the order form the cost of the tux for a ring bearer. She said the prices were on the assumption that the ring bearers were toddlers! I wish I had to recording of the discussion with the guy that our ring bearers were about 7 to 8 years old. I know I definitely did not say they were toddlers. I DID NOT GET ONE apology for the mix up. Instead I got “It’s only a $11 dollar difference are you sure you want to change?” She definitely made me feel stupid for not knowing the industry standard. Instead of honoring the price that was on our order form we had to down grade the tuxes to a cheaper tux. If Stephanie was more nicer and didn’t make me feel awful every time I go in and stupid for not knowing the industry standard on tuxes, I probably would have paid the $11 dollars. But, it was obvious that she was not looking out for the customer’s best interest. Costumer service is very big in this economy and to find a place that really does not care about their costumers is very surprising. I work in the retail and event planning industry and I know that happy customers mean referrals to more happy clients. I feel badly for the costumers that deal with that place. I was hoping it would turn out well but it did not. My advice is pay a little more for better service. Find a place that centers its business practices on costumer satisfaction. Weddings are supposed to be one of the happiest times in people’s lives and it is sad that this place is not looking out for your best day. Pros: Local, good price on most items, Lana Cons: Bad costumer service. Rude, more

Terrible Experience - the worst ever 6/8/2009

The staff is extremely rude, and the seamstress is incompetent. I had a very delicate bridal dress that needed alteration. Once the staff let me ""in"", asked me to change, the seamstress came in, man-handled my dress and started poking pins without explaining anything - when I asked - she explained a very shoddy quick-fix. In the middle of all this, another rude staff member snapped and took her away saying another bride needed her dress hemmed NOW. And they asked me to wait. 10 mins of waiting sweating in my dress with pins poked in it - and then I decided to walk out! Walking out and never going back was the best decision I made. Instead I went to D'Angelo's after reading reviews online - and I recommend you do some background check before going to a bridal store. Btw, The quality of D'Andelo's is 10 times better and you don't pay more than you would in this shoddy place. Cons: Rude, Incompetent, Unprofessional more

STAY AWAY! 7/21/2008

very unprofessional and i would not recommend this store to anyone, dresses are great, but not worth it! Pros: nice dresses Cons: horibble service and professionalism more

It's a good experience as long as you get the right person 2/28/2008

The store is not bad, it has good selection of bridal dresses as well as the hair piece, veil, and shoes. I think the price is reasonable. The first time I went there, one of their consultant named Sandra helped me. She was really nice and she actually helped me getting my wedding dress. I was debating to buy or rent my veil and Sandra told me that if I want to buy she could give me a discounted price. So I waited for about a week and then I decided to buy the veil. I went to the store, but Sandra was not there, I met this old lady named Lana. I told her that I want to buy the veil and the price, but she was persistent that the price is non-negotiable because it is a new veil. I understand if she doesn't want to lower the price, but the way she said it made me feel like.."" how dare I asking for the price I was promised"". When I pointed out a loose pin on the comb part , she told me that it is suppose to be loose like that. Overall, my friend and I got the feeling that she was not happy we were there. I have to say that if I got her in the beginning, I wouldn't buy the dress from there. Overall, I think I would only go to the store if Sandra is around and I don't want to deal with Lana again. more

Great Experience! 10/4/2007

After a horrible first experience trying on wedding gowns I went to A Nite on the Town- and LOVED my experience there! I found the dress I wanted for about $90 less then anywhere else I'd been (I bought mine for only $106!!!). I was treated with respect and the wonderful sales lady (Lana) didn't make any comments about the fact that I was choosing to purchase a BM dress rather then a wedding gown to save some money, the complete opposite happened at the first shop! I was told the dress would take four months to come in, but two months later it was here! I wanted to get some alterations done and was told that would take a month (I was changing a zipper back to a corset back). 6 days later I was able to take the dress home- completely altered! Also, I came in with my MOH who isn't getting married until April of 2009, but Lana encouraged her to try on a dress and just see how they feel, even though she won't be buying for at least a year! We will be back next year for her dress, for sure. Pros: Great prices and great service! Cons: None I can think of! more

Had a horrible experience 8/14/2007

What a change from 2 years ago. The staff is pushy and the dress selection is not what it once was. Pros: There are other dress places more

Fantastic selection of dresses & tuxedos for bridal and other events 8/8/2007

A Nite on the Town in Costa Verde Center is a great place for one stop shopping for formal and bridal dresses and tuxedos. My daughter bought a wonderful bridal dress and my wife found an elegant mother's dress for the wedding. We also found great prices and quality for all the bridesmaids' dresses and all the tuxedos. I felt great in my designer tuxedo. They also have on-site alterations and excellent service. Pros: Huge selection, great prices, service, and quality more

Terrible experience. Stay away from this store!! 7/25/2007

I placed an order for a rental tuxedo based upon a sample shown to me by the elderly saleswoman (Lana). When I went for the fitting, the tuxedo was multiple sizes to large, very worn looking and of extremely poor quality. Despite my voiced concerns following the fitting, Lana insisted that the tux looked great and fit perfectly...she must be blind. I explained my dissatisfaction to Lana and asked for a refund. Her response was to the effect that you can choose to wear it or not but it is here and this store does not issue refunds. I am now in the process of disputing the charges with Mastercard. Stay away from this place!! more
