So, a while ago, I was surprised to receive a $100 gift card to this place from Judy's Book. (I wrote the most reviews in a day, and they had a raffle, I think). Anyways, I've been looking at the reviews on here to see how the place was and if it was worth going up there. There were equal numbers of positive and negative comments, so I just decided "what the heck, i'll just try it". I was expecting a family style restaurant like Ihop's or something, but instead, I see a HUGE fancy looking place. We went at about 10:00 and there were about 10 other people waiting. They gave us a beeper, and told us 15 to 30 minutes wait, but the time went by SUPER fast. The people who work there are really nice, and take you to your table. I was suprised at how big it was. My table ordered some fried calamari (DELICIOUS), vietnamese spring rolls (i thought they were ok), Bistro Shrimp Pasta for me (DELICIOUS, PLUS i had some leftovers for lunch the next day. great!), Caesar Salad for my dad (okay), grilled Mahi for my mom with fries (didn't taste the fish, but the fries were great). I also ordered the tropical smoothie which came decked with fresh fruit on top. It was probably one of the best smoothies ever. The portions, like everyone else said, are HUGE, so it's good to share. We ordered two slices of cheesecake for dessert to share, which we didn't really get to enjoy since we were so full, but nevertheless, it was delicious! So this is a good place to dress up and go out to once in a while. the food is too rich for a once a week outing, but it's a nice place. more

This restaurant is always crowded wherever it is, but in Palo Alto it is because it's one of the few places that has something for everyone and is easy to maneuver with kids. We just went again today and had a good server. The french toast is amazing! My husband likes the Luau Salad and I go back and forth on food I like. I don't like cheesecake but they have a good 'mud pie' (their cake with ice cream on top) and brownie sundae. more

I was actually looking forward to going to the Cheesecake Factory a while ago since I loved them back on the East Coast. I'm not sure if it was the night or what I ordered, but I was pretty disappointed in the food there. the menu was somewhat similar but they didn't have what I really wanted from the menu back east, so that could've been the problem. but the reality is you go to the cheesecake factory for the cheesecake, not the food, and the cheesecake is ALWAYS awesome! more

I am oddly drawn to this restaurant. I'm not sure what the draw is, the food is good but not fabulous. There is almost always a line or a wait to get in so obviously I am not alone. Te menu alone is impressive, you can order just about anything under the sun. Portions are gigantic, 2 hungry adults can easily split just about any meal and be full. My favorites are the Cobb salad and the chicken salad sandwich. Save part of your entrée for later and be sure to try the cheesecake. There is something crazy like 30 kinds to choose from, my favorite is the raspberry white chocolate, it is delicious! This restaurant is also incredibly kid friendly. They bring my toddler a plate of bananas and bread slices as soon as we site down, it keeps everyone happy! more
