A Great Gas Heating & Air

I have been using Great Gas for a few years now. My mom had an acct with them for years & had a house fire in 2011. At that time, she moved in with me & moved her acct to my address. I still had to pay a connection fee & pay for the tank but the acct remained in my moms name, even after her home was renovated & she moved back to her residence. Since then, I have continued using Great Gas & never really had a problem with them. In March of this year, we ran out of gas (we just use it for our gas logs). I was worried the weather would be cold for a little longer so I called to have them refill my tank. I was told they would be here the following day. Well, 3 days later, no gas. And the weather had started warming up so I called on the 3rd day of waiting & told them to cancel the refill. Well today, a month later, I come home to find a notice on my door that they had came at 10 am while its 82 degrees outside & filled my tank. They left a bill for $136. When I called to ask why they would fill it up in April the first person I spoke with said they do their fill ups between October & march. Ok?? It's april, why are you filling up now?? And then I went on to tell her I called in March & told them NOT to refill until I called again. She didn't have an answer for that & put another lady on the phone. Who from the very beginning was rude! She never answered my question either & said I could either pay the bill or they would come pick up the tank. She continued to interrupt me while I tried to ask again, why would they fill up in 80 degree weather especially after I called in March & told them not to. She repeatedly said, they would just come pick up their tank. After her being so rude, interrupting me & saying at least 3 times they would just pick up the tank, I told her to please do. I will never use Great Gas again & will never refer them to anyone! Very poor customer service. more

James and Lisa at Great Gas helped in the servicing and repairs of my air conditioning systems. James, the technician, was persistent in solving a problem that was not readily apparent and Lisa was always polite and responsive during our phone contacts. more

Was a customer of this business for many years. One day one of their drivers advised me that I was paying far too much to keep LP gas in my 100 gallon tank. Had noticed that the price was quite high when it was very cold and I requested refills for I was about out of gas. Used a lot of LP gas. Finally realized that I was paying far too much for LP fuel. Look around, read carefully before you sign a long one sided contract. There are people that sell fuel with less of a markup. If you are dumb enough to pay high markups, you'll certainly be billed every month as your tank is packed full of fuel. It's a lucrative business. Learned my lesson. No longer use this provider. more

When I need my gas-grill's propane filled I take the tanks here to Great Gas & Oil. They are very dependable and I feel comfortable taking my tanks here - they check them, fill them and put them in the car for me. Prices have gone up more then just doing an "exchange" at the local stores, but I will continue to come here and use this small business that is locally owned and operated. more
