I have been using Great Gas for a few years now. My mom had an acct with them for years & had a house fire in 2011. At that time, she moved in with me & moved her acct to my address. I still had to pay a connection fee & pay for the tank but the acct remained in my moms name, even after her home was renovated & she moved back to her residence. Since then, I have continued using Great Gas & never really had a problem with them. In March of this year, we ran out of gas (we just use it for our gas logs). I was worried the weather would be cold for a little longer so I called to have them refill my tank. I was told they would be here the following day. Well, 3 days later, no gas. And the weather had started warming up so I called on the 3rd day of waiting & told them to cancel the refill. Well today, a month later, I come home to find a notice on my door that they had came at 10 am while its 82 degrees outside & filled my tank. They left a bill for $136. When I called to ask why they would fill it up in April the first person I spoke with said they do their fill ups between October & march. Ok?? It's april, why are you filling up now?? And then I went on to tell her I called in March & told them NOT to refill until I called again. She didn't have an answer for that & put another lady on the phone. Who from the very beginning was rude! She never answered my question either & said I could either pay the bill or they would come pick up the tank. She continued to interrupt me while I tried to ask again, why would they fill up in 80 degree weather especially after I called in March & told them not to. She repeatedly said, they would just come pick up their tank. After her being so rude, interrupting me & saying at least 3 times they would just pick up the tank, I told her to please do. I will never use Great Gas again & will never refer them to anyone! Very poor customer service.
