Run don't walk away from this horrible business 5/15/2012

Im not one to ever write a review. I feel compelled to let everyone out there know that this is the worst business I've ever dealt with. I have been waiting 7 months for a part for my appliance. Every month they had some excuse as to why the part isn't in. I am still without the part. I've been lied to by Ashley( the so called manager ) numerous times. Please DO NOT USE A PLUS APPLIANCE. I WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I CALLED THEM. They are the worst. more

All user reviews are right!! Stay far away from this company 3/7/2012

Well, where do I start? Hmmm, Their tech came out almost two weeks ago & gave my parents a price for their dishwasher & asked for payment at that time. They were told 3-5 business days for the part to come in. Come to find out now two weeks later that the part was most likely never ordered. Trying to get someone who knows what they're talking about at this company is a joke!! Now, I am writing this as the tech is here and was over an hour late! PLEASE, please Do not use this company! They really are a joke!!! more

They tore out my dishwasher insulation and want me to fix 4/19/2011

This company is terrible. In March, a month ago, our dishwasher was not working properly. We went to the maytag website and found it had a heater coil recall. On the site, it allowed you to schedule service with a local company. We said, ok, let's go with this one, A Plus Appliance. They called to reschedule from the original scheduled time and my husband stayed home that day. They sent a technician named Randy. Randy came, pulled out the insulation from around the dishwasher and fixed the recalled part. He said we needed a new fill hose because ours was leaking. (Note we never had any water anywhere.). When my husband wasn't looking, he threw the insulation away!! He said, you don't need this. He asked for 96.25 to prepay for our fill hose and next service. My husband insisted he include the noise reducing insulation and Randy added it to the work order. He said they would call us when the parts come in to schedule the service. Fast forward two weeks. My husband calls them to see if the parts come in. No, they said. Fast forward one week. The company called me and told me that the parts came in and they could schedule the service for Monday April 18. Great! Monday comes along. They call me to tell me that a tech called out sick. Can they reschedule for Tuesday. I express my dissatisfaction for having to schedule yet another day at home. They said don't worry. They will definitely come out on Tuesday with the parts, between 12 and 4. I said, ok. Tuesday, 3:30pm. Still nobody. I call them again and ask where their tech is. The lady puts me on hold. She comes back and says he's on his way. Ok. 3:50pm. Frank shows up with only a toolbox in hand. I ask him where the parts are. He says, there are no parts. He wanted to look at the dishwasher. I said, ok. He took one peek underneath, said there was no problem with the fill hose. He tightened two nuts and tada! It was fixed, minus insulation. He says, oh, you need insulation, I'll order the part and we will call you when it comes in. I said, WHAT! I demanded my money back for everything. I should not have to pay for them to install a part, THAT THEY RIPPED OUT AND THREW AWAY!! I called the office and they refuse to pay my service costs, even though they are the ones who ripped out my insulation. I insisted to speak with Kevin Culligan and the lady on the phone would not let me. I insisted he call me back. I have yet to hear anything. I filed a formal complaint with Maytag. Do not use this company. Ever. more

HORRIBLE PEOPLE - HORRIBLE SERVICE 12/20/2010

If I could give negative stars, I would. Apparently these crooks have contracts with the big name appliance manufacturers and the large home improvement stores and we're at their mercy. They give you time windows of 5 hours and either don't show up, or show up outside of the time they quoted you. God forbid they ask you if your appliance is still under warranty and it's not. They practically hang up on you. The women who answer the phones are rude, condescending and unapologetic. They lost my warranty information I faxed them the first time I called them. Then they lost the work authorization that Whirlpool faxed them the second time they came out and my appliance was no longer under warranty, but Whirlpool agreed to pay for the parts. I called A Plus to see what it would cost. I was quoted $89 for the visit plus the price of parts. ""Just a flat labor fee of $89 and the cost of parts?"", I asked for clarification? ""Yes"", she confirmed. Whirlpool agreed to pay for parts, but I got a call from A Plus saying I owed them $149. This after I took the day off work and their repairman (they have only 1?) went home sick after I waited 2 hours already for him to get there. He showed up the next day which was a Saturday. I insisted to the woman who called to extort the money, I was categorically quoted a top cost of $89, to which the combative woman threatened to put me in collections if I didn't pay the whole amount. I will pay the money then forward to the executive offices of Whirlpool (which is who agreed to pay for the replacement parts after I made it all the way to their executive officers) a copy of the invoice as well as a report on A Plus with a strong suggestion they discontinue using them for their service calls. I think I know what the ""A"" in A Plus stands for... more

God Awful Service 1/19/2009

My experience with this appliance repair company has been nothing but awful. The worst customer service that I have ever had. It has now been 2 months and my appliance has not been repaired yet. They do not call clients with any kind of status or to let you know that the technician is running hours behind schedule. I recommend that you do not use this company for service. I will never call this company again for service. Cons: Awful customer service, I do not recommend this company for anything more
