Bad Parking Garage/Terrible Internet Service 2/6/2011

Great location and decent apartments. Somewhat pricey for the square footage though ($1300 monthly for a small 1 bedroom plus $155 for parking). Almost all my neighbors have had their cars damaged by the valet parking - and the company is not helpful. My new car recieved $1200 damage by the valets and the parking management did not even return my calls or respond to letters - and I reported the damage prior to leaving the garage to 2 of the parking employees. In my opinion the parking company management is immoral and unethical. I now park across the street in a self park lot. The internet service ""free wireless"" is the worst internet service I have ever experienced. The management has been claiming that they have been working to improve it for the past 6 months but it is still VERY VERY slow and often does not work. Other than these problems I like living here. But I won't renew my lease unless the internet is working right and the parking garage pays to fix my car that they damaged. I don't expect either to happen though. more

UNPROFESSIONAL- MANAGER IS A JOKE 9/28/2010

( Management) \r \r i recently moved on from 925 Common Apt, Aug 31\r let me start with the manager she is UNPROFESSIONAL IN ALL ASPECTS ESPECIALLY IN THE WAY SHE DRESSES TO WORK , ON DAY I WALKED INTO THE LEASING OFFICE SHE WAS WEARING SOME REALLY SHORT SHORTS WHICH I THOUGHT THAT WAS VERY DISGUSTING THE WAY SHE DRESSES TO WALK AROUND THE BUILDING SHE AVOIDS TALKING TO TENANTAS, I THINK IS SHE IS THE WORST MANAGER THE BUILDING HAS HAD, ( AND I WOULD LIKE TO GET INTOUCH WITH THE OWNERS TO FILE A COMPLAINT ONE HER). WHEN MY FIANCE CAME INTO TOWN SHE COULD NOT BELIVE THE BUILDING MANAGER WAS DRESSED THE WAY SHE WAS THAT DAY... AND THAT WAS NOT THE ONLY TIME SHE WEARS SHORTS LIKE THAT..!!! SHE IS A TOTAL JOKE.\r \r I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THAT PLACE AS YOUR HOME, ESPICALLY WITH THE MANAGEMENT TOTAL JOKE... more

VERY LOUD, Terrible Parking, APT Management, & Security 9/15/2010

IT IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL FOR THE PRICE. If you want downtown living like I did, you can find better places in the French Quarter or Garden District that have better insulated windows and are more secure. The actual apartment is modern and this is a great location. That is the only plus and you can find this in any downtown apartment.\r \r Where do I start?!\r 1)MANAGEMENT (Lisa A. Greve) just does not know how to deal with tenants and doesn't really care. Avoids tenants when they have issues and could be the worst one since I have been a tenant. Forget about getting your deposit back just dont bother cleaning because you will be charged for cleaning anyway. \r 2)SECURITY is a joke.... they let anyone in. They are better off with no doorman and lower the rent. I had to call the police because there was a tenant passed out drunk in the hallway that the doorman could not remove!!!!\r 3)Valet service is slow and inconveinient.... the parking situation is terrible. I had to start parking in the lot across the street just because I hated waiting so long for my car. This valet also services the Roosevelt hotel so it is jam-packed on the weekend.\r 4)STREET NOISE is unbelievable. I lived on a lower floor and moved to a higher one and could still hear full conversations. I was startinf to get used to the people noise, but the construction all night long can send someone to the madhouse. When I moved in the construction that was supposed to be complete after a month, but it went on a year. It was still going when I moved out over 1 year later. IT ALL HAPPENS ON WEEK NIGHTS TOO! Yes... you will hear that load and clear. I understand New Orleans is rebuilding, but there is no consideration for the tenants in the CBD when construction happens at night on weeknights. I am not that sensitive to noise because I have usually lived in the city, but a jack hammer will bother anyone. Insulated windows would really go a long way here.\r \r more

Nice apartment...terrible Parking Garage 8/31/2010

I moved into 925 Common Apartments in October of 2009. The apartments are very nice high quality apartments and the staff is very friendly. The windows are very thin and you can hear actual conversations of people on the street. If there is road construction or a Saints game, plan on getting no sleep. The one really big issue is the parking garage. On top of your monthly rent, you have to pay the parking garage an additional $155/month or risk getting parking tickets on the streets. The parking garage is a seperate company than the apartment so if you have an issue you have to go thru the parking garage office, and they are not friendly and do not work quickly. In November of 2009 the parking garage damaged my car and I didn't get it settled until March 2010. Then in March 2010, they damaged our other car and we are still fighting to get that settled. They did over $1000 in damage and refuse to pay for it or even discuss it with me. The apartments are great, but because the parking garage is so terrible I will be moving out at the end of my lease. more
