Editorial review from Citysearch 9/8/2012

The only thing I liked was the modern Portland style Brewering company theme. Everything else was HORRIBLE!!! Food was nasty, talk about puddles of grease on EVERYTHING! Service, we probably saw our waitress like twice. And the worst part was that everything was dirty! The plates looked as if they have never been washed, nobody wiped our table before and after our use, and there was food on the floor with extreme amounts of ants piled on them. After we told the waitress, she didn't come back for at least 10 minutes and all she brought was a broom. Talk about terrible service. My family is never going back there again!!!!!!! YUCK more

Awesome Beer. Food. Service. Atmosphere. 11/17/2011

4th Street Brewing has shuffleboard, lots of tv's in the bar for sports, a solid selection of beers and rotating seasonals to keep things fresh. Plus, the food is great and fairly priced. The melt sandwich with turkey, asparagus, cheddar, (some other good stuff) on sourdough is really, really good. Try it. And the staff is always attentive and fun to talk to. Ally was our server tonight and she was awesome - super patient despite the fact I was being extra indecisive about what to get. And their bar-made chips are some of the best around. more

Great service, great food!! 11/11/2011

Had a great dinner out with the wife at 4th Street Brewing. The atmosphere here is great with very friendly staff. Our waitress Brianne was exceptional. We will definitely be visiting again soon. more

Cold Microbrews, Good Food, Great Atmosphere 10/30/2011

Had a groupon for 4th St. Brewing & decided to check it out. I live in Portland and this was easy to find. Atmoshere was cool - lots of flat screens near the bar with various sports playing, booths with just the right lighting, and lively fun vibe. I was there on a Saturday evening about 6 PM. Nice selection of brews & seasonal ales. I'm a hop head - tried the Double IPA & Eager Beaver IPA. Both were great - the Double IPA has a high ABV, so is served in a smaller glass. Had the Whiskey Peppercorn Steak with a side salad. Food was delicious - steak was cooked as ordered, garlic mashers were yummy, & seasonal veggies rounded out the dish. Lauren was attentive, kept coming back to fill my water glass, & wanted to know how everything was - pleasant experience from beginning to end. Worth the trip from Portland - will definitely be going back again. more

nice place, bad service 10/18/2011

terrible service! never saw the waitress after we got our food. went to pay and the bartender asked if we had been helped. more

Great Gresham Spot! 8/18/2010

This place has great bar food! Really good atmosphere. Relaxed, yet it looks really nice. Good customer service. The first time I tried it, I came in with a coupon for a free meal, and even then they were really nice, helping us figure out how to spend JUST enough to use the coupon without going over. The burgers are great, so are the drinks and desserts, and the price is very reasonable. They also have great e-mails to tell me when a cool event is coming up there, and they do awesome things all the time! Some just for fun, like speed dating, and some for charity. Pair great ambiance, with great food, fun events, and a PERFECT location with tons of parking, and this place can't be beat. Especially since Gresham really doesn't have a lot of good options! more

Best Brews & Food within miles of Historic Downtown Gresham 8/18/2010

One of the highlights of my week is to enjoy the food and beverages of this wonderful brew pub. The owners have worked very hard to create a nice place. It's nice to have a place in town where you can meet family and friends and know that the service is good, the food is good and everything is so clean. It's my first choice for dining in Gresham. more

Great Place 7/23/2010

Walking in this place you get a good feeling, lots of friendly people. They have great beer and wine, I like the spaciousness of it. They get some great bands playing here. Love the pizza!! Pros: Great Beer and wine more

4th Street Brewing great food and good beers 4/2/2010

Had the pizza for the first time last night. As I picked it up off the pan I could tell by the feel of the crust this was going to be a great pizza...and I was not disappointed. It had a very nice signature flavor to the pie and again...oh the crust! Not heavy, tender with a bit of crunch. I've also had their fish and chips...to die for! You gotta try this place. Its not on a busy street so it doesn't feel harried either. Tucked away on Roberts Street...and the ambiance is clean bistro. Great family and friends type of place. Oh..before I forget, our server was excellent too! Cheerful, on top of our needs and great with suggestions and answering questions. Pros: Good service, great food and hand crafted beer more

The place to go in Gresham 3/28/2010

I have been to 4th Street a number of times and have consistently had a good experience. I don't usually go to ""sports bars"" but this restaurant feels warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and professional. There are a number of regular customers and the staff goes out of their way to get to know them and make them feel welcome. Their beer is brewed on-site and is outstanding. It is worth a visit just for that. I go to the Portland Brewer's Festival every year and their beers would compare favorably to some of the best. I have had pizza, hamburgers and fish and chips and all were well prepared and fresh. Their fries are great. I would highly recommend it. Pros: Great beer, friendly staff Cons: Could improve Happy Hour menu more

4th Street great place for group event! 3/25/2010

I recently held a retirement party for a friend and cohort at 4th Street Brewing. Our event took place in an upper level room and the setting was great. The Lager Room overlooks the main floor yet was still very private for our group and we even had our own private bar . The staff was friendly and competent and our hostess was especially accommodating to all my concerns in preparation for the affair. She was also available making sure all concerns were addressed that evening. The food was plentiful and was kept warm. I received many compliments about the event, the place and atmosphere by friends and hospital staff that attended. Everyone who ate the food thought it was delicious! Best of all, my friend was very happy for the evening and we were all pleased with the great turnout. I certainly recommend the restaurant to others, and it is an especially great place for group a group event. Pros: Great atmosphere and service! more

My favorite watering hole 3/12/2010

I've been coming to 4th street about every other week for the last few months for their happy hour. They have a great happy hour menu, you can basically get a complete dinner for not more than a few bucks and a couple of beers - I enjoy their Dememted Duck ale a lot. The waitresses are friendly and helpful without hovering too much. I'm glad this place opened - it's clean, comfortable and I feel at home here. Pros: great service, great beer, comfortable atmosphere more

Disappointed 2/21/2010

First of all, my wife and I have never taken the time to write a review before, but our experience here warranted a response. We had been meaning to try 4th street ever since we moved to downtown Gresham. We had heard from a friend that he received bad service but we decided to try it ourselves anyway due to the quality of the other downtown restaurants. Well, our friend was right. Our server was uninterested in assisting us and didn't ever smile or even make eye contact. She was not friendly. The food was overpriced for the quality. I ordered the ""Mac Attack"", their version of mac and cheese. The menu made it sound unique and spicy, but I was served a small chunk of what seemed to be reheated pasta. It was actually square... And all the noodles were stuck in that form as if it was cut from a pan. I ordered it with the spicy sausage that was listed on the menu for it, which cost me $3 extra and got me about 7 or 8 little slices of sausage. All in all, the $13 mac and cheese was bland. My wife ordered the fish and chips. There was nothing specifically horrible about it, but it cost $16 and the five pieces of halibut didn't pack much in the way of flavor. But the fries were good. It's a very nice building, and I suppose if you were just looking for a place to have a beer and watch some sports it would be fine. Although there was not one specific horrible thing, the all together experience was very disappointing, and unfortunately I am unable to recommend 4th street to anyone. Pros: Nice building? Cons: food, service, pricing more

Not as family friendly 2/15/2010

My husband and I went to 4th Street Brewing with our 16 month old son. We were told they didn't have any high chairs or booster seats available. The waitress stated the high chairs they have were broken. We would have left but drove from Happy Valley to try this new restaurant. I saw a few other couples trying to manage their little ones without high chairs or booster seats as well. After the waitress took our order we only saw her one other time the entire evening. She didn't refill our water glasses and once she dropped off the bill she never returned. We were going to pay with a debit card but we never saw the waitress again so we left cash. She took so long I asked the hostess at the front what to do and she said we would have to wait for the waitress to return. The restaurant itself had a great atmosphere. We thought the food was fairly good, the chocolate cake on the dessert menu is fantastic! Pros: Great Dessert Cons: Not as family friendly, service could be better more

Beer and pizza are amazing 2/11/2010

Adam took me on a tour of the brewery, that was so cool. This place is the best place on earth, beats Disneyland by far. They let you get drunk! Just give over your ID. Can't sAy enough about it, it really is the best!!!! Pros: Their pizza is amazing , really all of thier food is. Cons: No drawbacks, excellent service. Greg and courtney are outst more

Great happy hour and nachos 11/11/2009

I live just a few blocks away from the new 4th Street Brewpub. The place must have cost a fortune to build, and I *really* hope that they are able to stay busy enough to stay in business, since they are an excellent addition to the neighborhood. Try a beer sampler to get a taste of what they have to offer, paired with their nachos with pork topping, if you are in the bar. Pros: Beautiful location, good beers, near MAX more

You have to go there! 11/5/2009

If you are planning a party try 4th Street Brewing Co.! Faith Camp is great to work with and will help you have a successfull party. Pros: Friendly Service & Great Party Venue Cons: None! more

Fabulous place for a private party 10/28/2009

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday at 4th Street Brewing in the upstairs room. It was open to the bar area below and had it's own bar and servers in the room. It is a fabulous place to celebrate any occasion. Their food is excellent and I highly recommend the hummus and the meatballs as appetizers. Faith personally took great care of us. She was personal and made each of our guests feel at home. Pros: Bar is right there! Cons: The night went too fast more

Classy Event Space and Service 10/28/2009

The staff at 4th Street Brew Pub bend over backwards to provide the best service in town. They are friendly and make it their top priority to take care of your party. The event spaces are convenient and beautifully designed for a fun and relaxing gathering. They helped me plan my event from first conception all the way through every detail. I would gladly recommend them to everyone I know! Pros: Flexible staff and wonderful event spaces. Cons: 0 more
