Singh , who owns the shop, is knowledgeable and friendly. He came highly recommended by Lee (of Lee's Auto Repair, also in Southie) and I am very happy I took my car to him! Also, it doesn't hurt that he's in walking distance since I didn't pay to get a rental car rider in my insurance. After a car slammed into our passenger door, I realized we were going to need to get that sucker fixed so we could open the window. Singh took a look and gave me an estimate, even showing me where in the pricing book his estimates came from. He gave me suggestions for how to keep the repairs cheaper, then asked me to consider using my insurance to pay for the repair. He knew my insurance company and the agent they would use to give the estimate and that made things really easy - I just submitted my claim and in 2 weeks I have a new door. My car is not in the best shape otherwise, and Victor generously buffed out some of the scratches in the car and gave me advice on how to make the scratches less noticeable. Overall, it was a good experience, I feel like he treated me fairly and honestly, and my car looks great - cleaned inside and out to boot more

Highly recommend 101 Auto Body Shop. My car was involved in a hit and run accident and needless to say I was overwhelmed with the prospect of looking for someone to repair the damage and dealing with the car insurance company. Well, what could have been such a overwhelming experience ending up being a walk in the park. Singh explained everything to me, called the insurance when there was further damage, contacted the rental agency to arrange a rental and pick up from his location and delivered my car on time and so clean, it reminded me of when it was new. He also touched up some scratches that were unrelated to the accident. The experience was great. He is very respectful and well mannered and the entire process couldnt have been easier. I highly recommend them more

I have recently had my car repaired by 101 Auto Body and I am really impressed by the work they have done. My car had been in an accident and the door was completely smashed in. I took my car into 101 Auto Body the next day and they totally took care of me. I was given a new rental car on the spot that was totally covered by insurance, didn't cost me a thing. They replaced my car door, took out all the other dings/dents from the accident, painted it, and made it like new in a very timely manner. The quality of the work is top notch, this place really makes sure things are done right. From body work to paint, this shop by far does the best work in Bay Area. The service is excellent and everything is made super convenient. I would recommend 101 Auto Body to anyone without hesitation. more

I've never written a review , but the service and work at this place was that good, that I decided to write my first one. A car accident left my car with its front bumper ripped off. I called to schedule an appointment. They were able to take my car immediately. For a really reasonable price they made my car look better than it did even before the crash. They buffed out tire marks, popped out dents and touched up scratches, as well as reattaching my front bumper. AND as a bonus, they cleaned my car! Inside and out! I was very happy with the result!\r more

\r True story. I had just bought a new (at the time), 2010 Full size Range Rover, and I didn't have more than 1000 miles on the car before I got side-swiped coming off of 680 into Sanjose. The front quarter panel, as well as most of the front bumper were destroyed, and I was pretty upset to say the least. I called 101 auto Body & Paint on the advice of a good friend, and spoke to Paul. Paul didnt know me from a hole in the wall, but when I told him what had happened over the phone (I called them about 10 minutes after the accident), he told me to come on by so he could have a look. He shook my hand, looked at the damage, could see how upset I was, and told me, ""no problem. I'll order the bumper and panel, paint them in one day, and have you come by that afternoon, and we'll put it back together."" 4 days later, I picked up my truck, and it was as good as new. \r \r I have nothing but wonderful things to say about 101 Auto body & paint Sanjose. They did an absolutely immaculate job reparing my Jeep Grand Cherokee (which sustained extensive rear/tailgate damage after someone backed into me in a parking lot). Singh was especially helpful in his assistance dealing with my insurance company and the rental coverage on my policy. Victor was also a great help, and all staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I was so pleased to get my beloved Jeep back in such a timely fashion, and even more happy when the car had been washed and vacuumed. I will hopefully not be in another accident in Bay area, but if I am, I will definitely go back to 101 autobody shop. \r more

It is very rare to find an auto repair shop where you can be comfortable just dropping your car off and letting them fix your car but my experiences with them has built this comfort level for me and I am here to assure you that not only will they do the job perfectly, but they will do only what is necessary and be completely up front and honest with you what you need and don't need. I highly recommend them. I came across 101 Auto Body two years ago when I was new in town and needed to get my car fixed. I called the Lexus dealership to get estimates for my IS300 and I ended up asking when I can pick up my car and they said it will take a while because they don't fix damaged cars at the dealership, they send them to 101 Auto Body to get repaired. After nearly totalling my car, I was referred to 101 Auto Body Paint and decided to give it a try. They did an amazing job; my car came back looking and performing like it had never been in an accident. You couldn't ask for friendlier, more straight-talking service. I was recently in another (much smaller) accident and took my car back to 101 Auto Body Paint. Singh consulted me regarding how I wanted the repairs done, and again, the car came back looking amazing. In fact, it looked even better than before the accident - they took care of some dings and scratches that weren't even part of the original estimate at no additional cost! 101 Auto Body And Paint is wonderful! They are good at what they do and strive to do right by their customers as far as dealing with the insurance companies. \r \r I got in an accident and the first auto-body shop I took it to refused to even asses the car repairs once declared totaled by the insurance companies. I took it to 101 Auto Body And Paint it was a different story! \r \r They repaired it so well there is no way to tell that I had an accident let alone it was totaled, everyone that sees their work on my car is very impressed at how beautiful it looks again! \r \r The also handled almost all of the dealings with the insurance company which made my life so much easier since I had so much to worry about due to the accident. They even made sure that I got the true value of my car I from the accident settlement, and I seriously doubt that I would have gotten as much on my own. \r \r They were very straightforward with me and kept me up to date with what was going on and even made the effort to explain all the damage to my car in a way that even I could understand. \r \r They were a 45 minute drive from where I live but more than worth all the driving I had to do. \r \r They really go above and beyond! When my Nissan Maxima was involved in an accident with a school bus, this was the first time I needed substantial auto body work performed since I moved to Sanjose away from my former small town in Iowa. I wasn't expecting to find a body shop in Sanjose with the level of personalized service provided by a repair shop in a small town. 101 Auto Body And Paint exceeded these expectations. Singh was up-front and honest from the very beginning, and made sure to tell me exactly what to expect. My Jaguar XJ8L was hit in the driver's rear door in a parking lot two weeks before my lease end. Whoever hit it really did a number on the car and of course they didn't leave a note. So much for personal accountability.\r \r I had used 101 Auto body Sanjose in the past and was always impress by the quality of their work. I called and talked to Singh and described my predicament. Even though they were very busy, he told me to bring the car down (it was driveable) and he would handle everything and do his best to get it finished in time for the lease turn-in.\r \r When I went to get the car back 7 days later(!!) I almost didn't want to return it to the lease company. On their own, they completely cleaned up and touched up the car and didn't charge me a penny for it. Mr. Singh (Owner) told me they wanted to make sure the leasing company didn't charge me for incidental scratches or paint chips as they so often do.\r \r This is a level of service way above and beyond what I could have expected from any other shop, including the dealer. This was our first experience with 101 Auto Body And Paint Sanjose CA.. We took our 2007 Honda CRV after the heavy frontal damage. We were quite anxious as the car was almost new before the accident and got significant damage in front. \r \r We felt comfortable dealing with Singh; they were polite, knowledgeable and convinced us that the car would look like new after completing the repairs. They were honest to explain what parts will come from Honda. We were quite impressed when they completed the job within a week after getting the approval from the insurance company (as they promised).\r \r They encouraged us to come down while they were fixing the car and showed the parts they replaced. Awesome place for body repair work: after my accident I was extremely upset and had no idea where to go for the repairs. A friend refered me 101 auto body and paint . \r when I dropped off my vehicle I was greated by the nicest people ever. \r when I picked up my car it look like new than the day I bought it.
