Great Staff! 4/5/2011

to the person below, it is very unfortunate that you had a bad experience, they are very understanding and in most cases unless this often times happen, they would honor the cancellation fee towards a credit to the spa. I suggest you call them to see if they would do that. Besides that, it is a beautiful spa with wonderful people there that really help you heal mentally and physically. Hopefully you will give it another chance. more

Very Rude Management! 1/20/2011

On a snowy day with school closing at the last minute and many more inches of snow than expected- they charged the cancellation fee- even though none of the therapists were in for the appointment. Very rude on the phone and very nasty to deal with- this is supposed to be a happy and relaxing experience- instead they made it horrible and stressful. Not worth anybody dealing with such rude management. more

The Ultimate Relaxation Experience 6/4/2010

I've been going to 1 On 1 Self Indulgence since 2005. Hate to admit it but I go about every 4 - 6 weeks. I can't stay away the experience is so relaxing. I go for their facial treatments and they have transformed my complexion, no need to wear makeup. I get many compliments on my skin and I love it. When you walk in through their doors you enter a world of relaxation. You forget about all the stresses in your life even before your treatment. The 1 On 1 Self Indulgence Spa is a very personalized experience. I just can't say enough about the people and the experience. You're missing out if you don't try it. Pros: great people, excellent atmosphere, best products Cons: Nothing more

1 On 1 TOTAL Self Indulgence 6/2/2010

I first experienced 1 On 1 Self Indulgence on my 30th birthday. Instead of wallowing in self-pity at my advancing age, a friend suggested that I take the day and go to the spa. I took her advice, searched online and booked myself in for 1/2 a day of pampering. I was definitely not disappointed! I started my day with 1/2 an hour in the hydrotherapy tub, followed by a 1 hour massage, then an hour long oxygen facial, 45 minutes in the European dry float, a manicure and finally a pedicure. Somewhere in there they brought me lunch too! Let me tell you, I want to turn 30 every day now! The staff is excellent and the treatments are super relaxing. I have been to many spas, but this one has the perfect balance of relaxation and warmth. I recently moved to Maynard, just down the street from the spa. I have booked treatments for my friends for their birthdays and my husband for Valentine's Day and I always tag along! Now, I can't wait to turn 31! My mouth is already watering for their chocolate scones! Pros: Great people, beautiful atmosphere, amazing treatments. Cons: I can't go everyday! more

Once through the doors, the warm, inviting lighting immediately begins to relax you. The salon is quite large with high ceilings, spacious treatment rooms, large lockers, generous-sized towels, robes and sandals. The staff even knows you by first name. The meditation room is a welcomed addition with various sized chairs and floor pillows that allow you to relax and unwind before your treatment begins. Over-sized cups and glasses hold ample amounts of herbal tea, water and juice. Granola bars and chocolate scones feel like indulgent protein without sabotaging your spa experience. My favorite treatments include the warm coconut oil massage and the European Soft Dry Float. The coconut oil is warmed and drizzled on your skin. As the oil dries, it lightly flakes on your skin allowing for a gentle exfoliation that leaves your skin baby soft and deeply hydrated. The European Soft Float gently collapses the table top into a warm water bath without getting you wet. It's the closest thing to feeling suspended in a cocoon. You feel protected and soothed at the same time while being completely relaxed like a good, deep, REM sleep all within 30 minutes. Located within downtown West Concord just past the 99 Restaurant and behind the Post Office, there is ample free parking. You never feel rushed and staff encourages you to relax in the meditation room before you leave since there are no worries of a parking ticket or extra garage fees because you stayed beyond two hours. You rarely leave empty-handed because there is usually some promotional item available in the locker room or at the front desk. All the "little extras" really do make a difference. Pros: Comfortable, serene lighting with high ceilings Cons: It's hard to leave but worth the trip there more

gorgeous spa 6/2/2010

I adore going to spas- this particular spa is everything you would wish for in terms of beauty, care, and overall atmosphere. The fountains and beautiful hallway with river rocks, the space is really gorgeous. The soft dry float is an amazing treatment- like a waterbed that engulfs you without getting wet- it's amazing pre massage or on it's own. Cindy the owner really knows what she's doing- the staff are lovely and sophisticated, the space is gorgeous, everything a spa should be. Great Massage 2/7/2007

My husband had surprised me for our 3rd wedding anniversary with a jacuzzi followed by a massage together. I have to say, the place is immaculate. I was a little wary about using the jacuzzi, just the thought of other people having been in it, but the whole place is spotless, so it eased me mind. We had a wonderful experience. It is off the beaten path, but well worth the find! Pros: Friendly staff Cons: None more
