Review content:
Once through the doors, the warm, inviting lighting immediately begins to relax you. The salon is quite large with high ceilings, spacious treatment rooms, large lockers, generous-sized towels, robes and sandals. The staff even knows you by first name.
The meditation room is a welcomed addition with various sized chairs and floor pillows that allow you to relax and unwind before your treatment begins. Over-sized cups and glasses hold ample amounts of herbal tea, water and juice. Granola bars and chocolate scones feel like indulgent protein without sabotaging your spa experience.
My favorite treatments include the warm coconut oil massage and the European Soft Dry Float. The coconut oil is warmed and drizzled on your skin. As the oil dries, it lightly flakes on your skin allowing for a gentle exfoliation that leaves your skin baby soft and deeply hydrated.
The European Soft Float gently collapses the table top into a warm water bath without getting you wet. It's the closest thing to feeling suspended in a cocoon. You feel protected and soothed at the same time while being completely relaxed like a good, deep, REM sleep all within 30 minutes.
Located within downtown West Concord just past the 99 Restaurant and behind the Post Office, there is ample free parking. You never feel rushed and staff encourages you to relax in the meditation room before you leave since there are no worries of a parking ticket or extra garage fees because you stayed beyond two hours. You rarely leave empty-handed because there is usually some promotional item available in the locker room or at the front desk. All the "little extras" really do make a difference.
Pros: Comfortable, serene lighting with high ceilings
Cons: It's hard to leave but worth the trip there
