Review content:
I haven't had a bad experience with Barr. I've lived at 2 of their locations - 807 W. Illinois & 205 E. Healey. They've always responded to my maintence requests within 48-72 hours. Their handyman Rick has been particularly helpful.
Additionally, their Barr-to-Barr move policy is really helpful. If you are moving from a Barr apartment to a different Barr apartment they allow you to stay in your old apartment until your new one is ready, rather than making you homeless for a week or two like the other landlords down here.
Their office staff isn't the most friendly, but they have always done whatever I needed them to do.
Overall, I think renting an apartment in a college town can and will result in less than ideal situations sometimes, but I've been pleased with Barr real estate.
