Review content:
After hearing great responses about this Apex, NC carwash, I decided to go to them to see if they could get some sap spots out of my 5 month old white car. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a worker and explained to him what I wanted done. He said it shouldn't be a problem to "spot treat" it and remove the spots but would need to have the manager/owner come out and quote a price.
I was quoted a price of $25 for the spot removal and we decided that since I had just washed the car that they wouldn't wash it again. The manager NEVER LOOKED at the car. While I was waiting, I noticed my car going through the car wash (which we had agreed not to do) then they wiped it down and brough me the keys. Yeah, I think it's done and I can be on my way. When I go out, there are still spots on the car and when I try to talk to the guy who wiped it down, he doesn't speak English so can't understand me. He goes to get someone else. The original guy comes out and starts to remove the missed spots explaing to me that the owner had made him stop because it was taking too long.
I am getting upset at this point because the work has not been done that they said they would do. I finally get to actually talk to the owner and he said for this job they should have done a full detail and he didn't know the extent of it when he quoted the $25 price. If he had only looked at the car in the first place he would have known.
He wouldn't budge on any compromise and was very rude to me.
What surprised me most was that he was going to let me leave thinking that the job had been done when it actually hadn't. If he had only come out and explained to me that I actually needed a full detail and he quoted too low, I would have understood. Bad business practice to try to pull something over on your customers!
