The quality and value of this children's amusement park has gone down over the past few years. Tickets are now charged at close to $18 per adult and $15 for a child. The park features little rides and it is very small compared to the price that one pays. Living within one mile of this amusement park, I would much rather inconvenience myself and travel the 35 miles to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee than go here. The park looks very run down, unclean and the staff is usually very rude and unhelpful. Melrose Park's annual Free Day for the residents was even cancelled by the village due to the fact that they believed the ticket price was much too costly to pay (they paid for every single child that went in on that special day). If the town you're located in doesn't even support you as much anymore, that HAS to be a very bad sign of how this establishment is regarded.
